Too Early for Pumpkin?

Yes. Mid to late September is fine by me, even for pumpkin beer
 
 
So I succumbed to the Pull of the Pumpkin.

Was at a brewery Alewerks in Williamsburg (Blake is a top notch fellow and took really good care of us)

Tried their pumpkin beer and I must say it stacks up against most if not all of the Pumpkin beers I’ve had.

Too bad it was only draft pours.
 
Have to say when I drank beer, the Oktoberfest varieties often were quite good. Damn gluten. ;)

Today my wife put out the pumpkin stuff. I love her to death, but can’t we wait for October?
 
Made a cocktail the other night and used an Oktoberfest Lager - not really pumpkin but it was on the label, was not as good as the other lagers I've used this week.
