Tour Edge Exotics 722 Drivers

I know it's been a lot of TEEm in this thread but I'm hoping to get feedback from anyone here. I currently have the 9.5° E722 driver, I love the forgiveness of it but want to drop spin some. I'm approaching 3k on the LM (maybe indoor swing related).

One caveat, I like the launch conditions so I'm not lowering loft. I also like the feel of the Tensei Blue I have in it now. I guess I'm looking for a little bit of a unicorn, that gives me everything I have today, but 300-500 less spin. I'd like to be in the mid-2k range just to see if I can squeak out a few more yards.

I've tried the C722 and while it has given me lower spin numbers (and longer distance) I just don't have quite the same accuracy as other with the C722, so it's on the bench.

Picked up 1 with a ventus blue yesterday for 150 bucks. Took it tobacco road and you can ask @J.B. Cobb III once I figured out the timing on it I was smacking it. This thing is dumb impressive.

Love hearing this.

Great deal on a great club.
I found the same thing with the C722/Ventus combo, as long as the timing is right (smooth tempo for me), this becomes a rocket launcher.

Yup took some time to figure out the combo for timing but once I did wow

If you don’t want to lower the loft or change the shaft then look at maybe changing your golf ball to get lower spin.

You know, the C722, isn’t supposed to be the driver for a higher handicap golfer, but you hit it really well. Sounds really good. I would definitely not shy away from the smaller C722 now. Putting the heavy weight in the front would be the most internet golfer thing ever!:ROFLMAO:

And lower the loft down 😉

AD-DI has been purchased. It will be a fun experiment for me over the next few months with the weather being colder and my interest in playing has been lessened somewhat with the Budget Championship having finished up so they will motivate to get back on the simulator.

Winter swing has fully kicked in. Was playing a round on the sim in the garage (it was a steamy 17° this morning) and wow I couldn't hit the middle of the face to save my life. Even with cold golf clubs, many layers, and basement temperature golf balls, I was still able to get ball speeds on the LM over 150mph and snuck a few carry distances over 255y. I had 2 swings where I hit so low and heel on the face I almost missed the net I was hitting into... shockingly the ball drifted back with a gentle fade and ended up on the virtual fairway...only went 235y but hey a fairway hit is a fairway hit.

I'll still rave about the forgiveness of the E722 driver over and over again

Driver just performs. This put me like 100 into the green with a 270ish drive

Never clicked with me for whatever reason, so back to my og Epic at the end of the season. Will probably give it another go next year, and pass it along if it doesn't click because I'm sure somebody would love to try it based on everyone's experiences with theirs.

Played golf today on a little Thanksgiving vacation. E722 Driver (and 3w twice) flat out performed. Approach eh, putter OMG I couldn't read a green. Short game was ok, highlighted by a 17y chip in.

Acquired a PXG Gen 5 0311 XF and well, the E722 dropped that one quickly...3-4mph ball higher ball speed, similar spin, slightly better launch. I will say the PXG dispersion was a touch better, but not worth losing 10+ yards on distance.

Played a sim round during the winter storm and front 9 was PXG and back nine was E722...I was shocked how much better the E722 was "on course". I needed a 250y carry over a creek on one of the holes and I proceeded to pipe the best drive of the day with the E722, 274y carry, 293y total and left myself a 40y chip to the green...stuck the chip to 4 feet for an "auto birdie" (probably would have missed the putt in real life)

Now I can't wait to see the 723 release...lol Golf Digest mentioned those clubs in the Hot List preview in their January issue.

I'll gladly put this up against the other big OEM releases from earlier this month to see how it performs. It's met or exceeded every challenger I've thrown at it this year.

I'm sure this might be one of that last updates to a Tour Edge 722 line as the 723 line has been hinted at being released in the coming week(s).

I don't know if I found something today or if it was just the day, but on the sim I was able to knock down the spin on my E722 about 300rpm from what I was seeing throughout 2022 with this club. Ball speed was down (cold weather/layers of clothes in the cold garage) but not down significantly and I was seeing 265y-270y carry. I haven't gone to a different golf ball or made any swing changes, so it was a pleasant surprise hitting the ball regularly that far with lower than in season ball speed.

Makes for a tough club to beat in a fitting bay when the ball is traveling that far and generally straight as an arrow (yes there were some ugly shots in there, I am human).

Was able to play some golf this past Saturday and took the C722 out for its maiden voyage.
Club performed awesome, when you find the center of the face you know it. The ball loves to fly off the face with little effort. This will likely be in the bag all year.

Just want to remind anyone looking for a deal on an extremely solid driver from last year...don't sleep on the 722 line from Tour Edge. I had another remarkable session on the LM today with it.

I'm concerned I'm not a true internet golfer as my 2023 driver search might be non-existent this year 😲
