Tour Edge Exotics 725 Drivers – C725 and E725

Late to the party.. As someone who has played the C722 the last two years.

How significant is the jump in playability compared to the C722 ?

Also, does it use the same adapter as the 722 ?
 
Just had my E725 Driver delivered today. Looking forward to getting it outside sometime this month..or the next

Nice!! It’s maybe the surprise of the year for me. That they did 10K, and did it way better than many companies right out of the gate, is pretty killer.

Sparkey I am SO sorry I missed this while I was sick.

The jump is massive. Honestly, these are the most complete drivers I’ve tested from Tour Edge, the 722 was good (and better than 723 imo) but this is a whole new, and well thought out, animal.

I loved the E722 I had (probably one of the better driving years of my career). Went to a fitting and they said it was spinning too much so I was losing distance. Went with a different brand the past couple of years and haven't been solid off the tee. I need to test out the E and C models this year to see if I get that same comfort level that I had a few years ago.

What was too much, if you remember?

The big issue I have right now with a lot of "fitters" is that indoors they know they can chase lower spin and a more forward CG that will make more speed naturally to create a launch monitor Queen. Then, people get to the course and its a nightmare for them.

I was pushing 2,800-3,000 on the GCQuad that fitting. I was low 2k with the fitted driver and was getting and extra 15-20y. Also probably benefitted from the Foresight low spin distance boost a little.

It was the first year I had my LM in the garage so with the club I was fit into and the E722 I had a fun time comparing. I used the E722 exclusively on the course that year, but would always compare the spin and ball speed with the fitted driver on the LM.

With the LM in the garage I try to stay in the mid 2k range just because I know that I need some spin to stay playable on the course.

I like what you said about the C725 being like a Max Triple Diamond because I think a head like that would fit me great, I just don't like giving up the forgiveness factor I might see in the E725

See, 2800-3000, IMO, isn't high.

But, like I said, for some of these "fitters", when they see that they know that if they can get to low 2k then its an easy monitor win and people will just see the numbers, not thinking about the payability for them.

Hell, the Tour trend is 2500-2700 now. Low 2's is scary if we are being honest.

No problems Jman, hope you are feeling better.

Last week I picked up a new C725 head and used my Stiff Ventus red 4t shaft with it. Short story, felt terrible as in I could not feel my swing. Turns out the head of my C725 is 6 grams lighter than my old 722.

Looking forward to no more snow and cold. Definitely will try to get to a simulator this week. But any new club is always fun!;)
