Tour Edge Exotics Fairways and Hybrid

Love the look of all of these. They've always put out great stuff, but it feels like they've been on another level since the C721 release, and now these appear to be another level above everything else.

TE is bringing the heat, I wonder of the other manufacturers will take notice.

Just had a chance to grab some quick pics, but too late to get them in the article.

I do enjoy the look of those @Hawk thanks for adding some pictures.

do the top lines appear as tapered at address as they do in some of those photos?

I need that MAX hybrid.

They always make some of the best fairway in the business. The LS model looks like a bomber.

Damn. These also look fantastic. I need to try some Tour Edge at some point.

Great article @Hawk

Love the looks and stock shafts on these!

Sorry, what do you mean by tapered.
It looks like the carbon crown gets closer to the face towards the toe compared to the heel. It always gets thicker at the heel for the hosel and such. In this case, it looks more diagonal across the entire length of the club from the toe and getting consistently thicker towards the heel. A quick markup of the Max compared to the E725.

Ok, I gotcha. Yes, you are seeing that correctly.

Going to put that in the hands of a very strong 16 year old in the next couple days. I'll play with it as well of course, but I want to see what it's capable of.

You might be a year or two out from these but yeah, Tour Edge has some good stuff. I think a lot of people sleep on their stuff because they are not a big name but I've enjoyed mine.

The hybrid might have to get a shot in the bag next year.

Well done @Hawk. As someone who had gamed Exotic fairway woods and hybrids for over 10 years I might have to give these a spin.

I took the Max Hybrid to the course yesterday and tried to hit it as much as possible. Hit some extra shots and used it even when I normally wouldn't.

This one is a little surprising to me as somebody that has a decent amount of experience with TE hybrids.

I kind of expected it to be to much more GI/SGI looking than it is based off the Max name (and TE's past offerings). I think most people will be happy with the size and shape. Maybe not for the most discerning "players'" eyes, but very in line with something like the Elyte line for example.

Sound is not my favorite, but nothing unusual with today's hybrids. I think much of that is because I expected it sound like other TEE hybrids I've used, which have tended to have been a little more hollow/metallic crack sounding. I was surprised at how muted it sounded. A bit of high pitch when off center, but not so much in the middle of the face.

I was a little pully in general yesterday and this club followed that general trend. Nothing crazy - I have been working on really exaggerating a feeling to get the face more closed and it's working a little too well. As such, ball flight was on the lower side for the most part, though I did put a couple up higher in the air. I did GIR the longest/hardest par 3 at my club with it, so major bonus points there.

Seems very forgiving to me. More to come.

Forty years is no small milestone in the golf industry. Since 1986, Tour Edge has carved out a reputation as one of the most innovative companies, often pushing designs that bigger names later followed. Their Exotics line in particular has become known for premium construction, cutting-edge technology, and tour-level performance at attractive price points. With […]

Appreciate it!

Should be able to get out today and start diving into the fairway wood.

Great stuff. I bet these are fun to hit.

My son has fallen in love with the LS Fairway. Hits absolute smoke shots with it. Extremely long, high, flat and tight ball flight. Sounds great. Looks great.

Off the tee it's almost too long as a driver alternative for him based on distance. We have a drivable par4 that plays around 290 center from the tees he plays. He went through it by a long way. Now, a chunk of that yardage is because the ground is firm and the ball rolled, but I've seen him in a similar spot with driver.

That’s sounds super impressive. These are on the radar.

As for the hybrid, I think yesterday was the moment where it really started to shine for me. I've had a late season resurgence with my golf swing after a little bit of needed practice. Seems like it's very easy to square the club face. Distance is there - possibly a smidge longer than some of my other hybrids. I have played some of these holes probably close to 100 time this year, and I'm very aware of where a 4h will put me.

I don't hit it super high, but I don't really hit anything super high. Sound is more normal to me now. Definitely like it most when I hit the center of the face, though missing across the face doesn't seem all that penal.

Interesting release. The Max name sort of confused me because of how Tour Edge has named clubs in the past. I really expected this to mirror some of their SGI stuff - offset, etc. It's a very conventional looking hybrid in the GI space and one that punches above its price range when you consider its technology and materials.

Small thing, but the head covers are great across the entire line. Soft feeling in the hands, easy to get on and off, clean look with the new logo.

I'd cut off a toe to hit a fairway wood like that just once in my life.
