Tour Edge Exotics Golf Ball

I've been supremely happy with the Chrome Tour and CTTD (to this point in testing), but this is a very attractive price point and based on the spin and flight characteristics, could be a ball that fits my game really well. May have to give them a shot down the road.

Any chance this year's TEEm Tour Edge will get some of these to test and review?
Don’t want to be or sound greedy, but i really hope so. With the tour soft titlest testing still fresh that would be great.

@Hawk saw the email on it today and didn’t realize you did a review until now. It’s Been a very very long day here in Madrid😁

As a low spin iron player I will have to give these a look.

Tour Edge is stepping into new territory with the launch of its first-ever line of golf balls, marking a milestone in the company’s 40-year history. Long recognized for its Exotics line of clubs, the brand has built a reputation for premium performance and innovative design at attractive price points. Anybody that has followed the THP […]

Fantastic! Thanks for the info! Im
Looking forward to trying the new TE balls and see how they compliment my TE irons, wedges and woods!

Catching up on the news from the past day or two and seeing this. Love that they are entering this space and doing it in this way.

Yeah, I thought it might be a good one for the TEEm to end the year on, although I'd love the opportunity to do a test/review on it myself too.

This ball is not very similar to V1x in my opinion.
Too bad. Probably not high enough trajectory / spin for me, then, but otherwise would certainly give them a try. Hope they work out well for others.

What’s the appeal of a dtc ball these days with volvik and tour edge ?
Most people who aren’t on golf forums have no idea who tour edge is and think volvik is a lady part.

I guess we all have our Vices

It'll be interesting to see if any of the player's TE signed to play their clubs on the Champions Tour put the ball in play.

Nice write-up! It is so interesting to me when another company enters this space. At $40, I would definitely try it if initial feedback from a wider group is positive.

This is an intriguing ball on several levels. Tour Edge has a reputation for solid performance at great price points, at $40/dozen it would be hard to resist giving this ball a try.

I'm sure it's a great ball, but coming into a crowded market is going to be tough.

You couldn't ask for a better loss leader for a brand like Tour Edge though. People that haven't heard of them or know much about their products will undoubtedly look up the brand when they see the balls in the stores or find one on the course. Excellent advertisement for the overall brand even if it doesn't work out.

Great writ up @Hawk! Did not see this coming. Bold to step into the ball market with how it is these days. Sounds like a really interesting offering though. Curious to see how they do. Might have to give these a try at some point.

Nice offering from TE. Seems like it's basically their version of the Wilson Triad.

This ball sounds like a Maxfli Tour clone.. Made at the same plant.. JMO...

Only one way to find out.
I play the lesser Maxfli lineup, at this time. Namely the Softfli, in gloss yellow. But the description sure sounds like the Tour...

It seems like TE and the Maxfli Tour are going after the same type of player.
Only one way to find out.
The TE making wind performance a priority is interesting. The 2026 ball refresh cycle I think will be a fun one for testing. Some good lower spin balls to test this cycle.

I had only 9 holes in play with them before today. Getting a little more time in today.

Tour Edge did so much for us on TEEm Tour Edge. So I don't want to be greedy either. But it would be cool.

I have 2 rounds in with this ball. A 9 hole from a couple of weeks ago and then got in 18 over the weekend. I'm actually quite impressed with it.

@Jman mentioned the color tint of it. Yeah it's white. Nobody does white as good as Srixon IMO so comparing it to that would be a disservice. At times it wasn't the easiest ball to find in the grass up here, but that's also a sign of the season.

Nothing crazy in terms of distance. But do feel like I'm seeing some nice action on the greens, and it feels really good off the Ai One insert in my s2s putter.

As for durability...the first round I played, I must have nicked something on the ground because it looked kind of scuffed up, but it didn't feel it. But the marks wouldn't wash off. Sadly it lives in a pond now so it might actually be clean at this point. But I also played the same ball for quite a bit on Saturday, including banging one really hard off a tree and the cover was perfectly fine. No clue what happened during my first time out, but I haven't experienced it again.
