Tour Edge Exotics Golf Ball

Played the same scuffed ball today - about 15 of the 18 holes as I like to alternate until I am comfortable with the swing of the day. Wind, today, the wind was solid 10- 15 mph with occasional 20+ mph gusts - I had no discernible issues (with the wind), the ball did what I think I have come to expect. I am really quite pleased with it. I think next round will be shootout between $40 dollar a dozen balls - this one versus the Titleist Tour soft, yes, they aren't the same - but they are the same price!

Distance off the tee - I was happy, one hole into the teeth of the wind I was easily as far as I think I've been in a long while - part is the shaft, but part is how it works in the wind (for me and my slower old guy swing).

It does roll out a bit more than I would like on most shots - not terrible at all, just needs a bit more to be a real ProV1 killer.

Putting - superb, just superb.

Gave one to the long hitter who I noticed was playing the ProV1 all round, he hit it about 5 times then, uncharacterically hit a draw into a stream and poof gone.

What I notice from him, distance was damn near the same, roll out his ProV1 shots hit, and checked up, often stopping maybe 1-2 ft from pitch mark, this ball was 4-6 ft.

But, like @AuzzieMatt said, at $40 a dozen my playing partner said he'd go TE for the savings - said the differences were minimal.

If TE decides to do something like 3 for $100 shipped, I would fill the shelf with them - I have quickly grown to like them - if only they had that T alignment aid.

I do miss the T.

I kept chipping around with these this weekend during chore downtime and I continue to find very little to nitpick.

They’re solid.

They’re not short. They spin well for me. Feel is good. Reaction into greens is good. Durability is what I’d expect.

Really, they just do things solidly. Not over the top exceptionally for me, but to the point I’ve got no issues putting them into play during a competition.

I was very impressed with the spin off of wedges. I got plenty and they felt great.

Agreed, there has been nothing that’s concerned me, that’s for sure.

Used the ball on the SkyTrak+ tonight. Solid numbers. Lower spin than the Chrome Tour X with irons and wedges. Still a good numbet. Plenty of control with wedges.

How has ballflight been off the tee for folks? Lower or higher at all compared to your gamer? What ball are you making that judgement against?

It's about the same for me. I started playing the ProV1 this year after being fitted for it. The only thing I'm seeing different so far is the rollout on approaches vs the hit and stop I get with the ProV1.

Thanks and I saw your comments about a few more feet of roll out. I appreciate your sharing that.

Lately I’ve gravitated towards balls with alignment aids but just recently started putting blank and likeling it. As such these have my attention.

Slightly lower. Or at least the round I played with them was. It wasn't anything that stood out.

That’s fair. I get that it’s early in your all’s testing. Would be great if you let me know your thoughts after the full dozen

No surprise there - that CTX is a spin machine lol.

Anything noticeable in terms of speed?

Only hit irons and wedges. But with 7i, it had similar speeds than the CTX. Maybe a tad slower. I'll make it a point to compare my next practice session.

@Hawk is correct in that the CTX is a spin machine, so no shock to see these lower.

Probably will see a bigger difference (if there is one) with the longer clubs, which I'm sure you know.

Absolutely. CTX was 5000-6000.

TE ball was 4250-5000. Still solid numbers.

Sim comparison tonight.

Top numbers are the Tour Edge Exotics ball. Bottom is Callaway Chrome Tour X.

Tried to get 1 to 1 shots. The 8i's with the CTX weren't the best. But I was seeing higher spin, a little less ball speed, and a little shorter. Hit with Tour Edge Exotics C725 irons.

Good stuff. I like seeing that height and descent stay in line, even with the lower spin. There's definitely more than one way to get the end results.

Also hit the 3h and driver.

Looks like the only place it's not as good, if not better, is off the driver.

Take out those two really high face misses and things start to come a little closer on the driver.
I noticed that when I was posting. I'll jump on the dashboard to do that and see what the averages work out to.

I like the ball and could play it and be very happy. It doesnt spin as much as I'd like, but it's close to the Chrome Tour or Pro V1 in a lower spinning premium ball.
