I have battled a slice on my fairway wood shots for a long time. I recently purchased a Tour Edge Exotics X-Rail fairway wood. It is a unique club in that it has a distinct "V" shape to its sole. It looks like it would be hard to hit, but it is not. It is perfect for shots from the rough, I have had no problems hitting it from the fairway and it is great off the tee. Tour Edge claims that the "V" sole serves to "straighten" the club face as it passes through the grass. I think that is a true statement. I also think that the extra weight in the sole helps to true up my swing. The club produces amazingly straight shots for me. The flight path is much higher than I am used to. The club is not a distance bomber, but it produces consistent, reliable shots at the distance I am looking for. I highly recommend that anyone suffering from a fairway wood slice give the Tour Edge Exotics X-Rail fairway wood a try.
