Fair point. You were also doing math and that gets harder with fireball involved.
That’s why you laminate the table - it’s fireball proof!

The fireball slowed me down considerably lol

Double breaks are still tricky (when are they not) - glad to hear you got @Nappy exposed to the TR system.

Excited to show some of the Vokey Experience guys the system on Sunday - looking at you @con93 , @chile, and @Surfinguru !
Hey, I'm open to anything that can help my game!

I've gone from ~45 putts per round at the beginning of the year down to ~35 now. I'm still seeing too many 3's for my liking though, so looking forward to what you can share @ChrisATL

I'm not opposed to it, it just isn't fast and that's how I like to play. But it's probably smarter and would allow me to make more putts.

We'll see. Moochy really got me thinking about it and that's a start.
I'd argue that using it in a scramble setting will make it seem slow for sure but regular golf you're not pulling your phone etc. I'm able to pretty much pace of the putt on the way to pull the pin or from the pin to mark my ball then have an initial number already in my head for when you start to look at the break.

I feel like I'm in a great place with this system at this point and has become somewhat second nature now. That is to say I'm doing it quickly and without thinking about it. It's the closest I've ever come to having a routine on the green and I do think its helping tremendously.

With that said, who out there has some questions about it, or is on the fence? I'm struggling a bit to bring up new points but I want to keep talking about this as I think it's extremely beneficial and could help a whole lot of golfers.

I'm really interested to see how I do with the system after being home for 7 😶😮 weeks with the baby. I'll review all the videos before the round on friday and will try to have time for the break and speed drills.

I do feel confident in getting it going quickly, but this will be another test of how easy to remember and get comfortable it is.

With my game going the wrong way currently and travel, no chance to use this until end of the month.

That being said, one of the things I've been attempting to do is estimate the number of paces rather than pace them all out. This is especially useful to help.when your ball is inside a reasonable to estimate distance.

I like to pace out 3, 6 & 9 putts warming up and mark with a tee then try to 'see' what they look like. Then I only really need to worry about the ones that are further away.

Just wanna shout out the training mode on the app. Was supposed to go out and play on this beautiful 4th but woke up not feeling well and had to abandon my plans. Being able to sit on the couch watching a movie and going through the training mode is better than nothing. And I feel like it's helping me dial in the difference between various speeds.

Update from the last couple rounds - key takeaway, this doesn't replace practice.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get proper practice in (either before round or on a different day) due to horrible weather in the south and / or crazy work travel. This reared its head in a pretty ugly way the last couple rounds - I'm still feeling pretty good about finding / setting my line, but pacing has been an issue. Hoping to get a couple days of dedicated putting green time to dial in my process yet again, with a renewed focus on pace / speed control.

Stay tuned...

Almost every round I have a putt with a ton of break that I calculate at least 5-7 ft of break and think "no way" and hit it like 3-4 ft and come up 5-6 ft low. One day I'll trust it! 😂

It’s funny you mention this - I’ve been doing the same thing the last couple nights to keep me sharp. Very underrated feature of Tour Read!
