When you do trade in clubs, where do you do so?
There are a lot of places out there: WWG, 2nd Swing, Callaway Pre-Owned, sell on eBay, THP Marketplace, just name a few.
Where are your trade- ins taking place?

I go through my local golf shop.

Oh, I'm going to be watching this. I'm looking to trade in my 4-PW PTX Pros with Recoils Protos and my local golf store, now part of Worldwide Golf shops, said they could only give me $50 for them.

Pretty much always CPO or WWG. Try to go to both because I am a huge fan of those two companies and what they do for THP. Also have had univserally A+ interactions anytime I have interacted with them.

I think WWG probably will get all of my business going forward because they honor any other discounts out there, and I have a Golf Mart close to me, and I like to see stuff in person.

I did 2nd Swing for a set of irons when they were offering a bonus, which will now be a new driver.

The rest for the most part go to Play it Again because they’re not even worth the postage. Usually just a junk swap for a project to play with. Picked up a SC yesterday.

For me it depends on my need. If I am trying to maximize value I will wait for the double trade in bonus and go that route. I usually go eBay if I am trying to maximize profit. I will use THP marketplace to help other THPers out and give them a good deal with an older club.

Usually doing a trade in with Callaway or trying to sell outright

I'll give you 50 for the shafts alone.

You still have yours? I do hesitate to move on from them since they're definitely sentimental.

I have never traded in a club.
Only re-sold on local buy/sell/trade. I see the trade values, and can easily get more on that just randomly selling to someone local.

I have them but, the pulls went poorly. I can't use them.

If I'm trading in, it's straight to Callaway for credit on my order.

If I'm selling outright, it's on FB Marketplace locally so I don't have to ship.

For the trade in people, do you shop around for the best trade in value to make the decision as to where to go to buy the clubs also?

Depends on that they are offering me for trade in.
Local market for me can be tough, so if the offered trade is "good enough" I just do it.

2X trade in events are awesome, but only happen maybe once or twice a year with Callaway.

The majority of my trades have gone through Callaway PreOwmed.

If I’m trading in, it’s at Golf Galaxy or to Callaway PreOwned. Selling is usually Facebook marketplace or here on THP

CPO in the past and most WWG.

If I do trade-ins, it's always been through Callaway Pre-Owned. I'm sure I don't get the best value, but it's simple and hassle-free, and I trust them to do it right.

The bonus trade events are what I always look for. WWG or GlobalGolf (owned by WWG) are my go-to spots.

2nd swing has some higher values sometimes, but I’ve had luck with GG matching those values.

I’ll basically never not go WWG family or direct to Callaway now

Do they use the PGA trade in guide to get to the value of the club?
Yes. I also do it when they have a 50 percent additional trade in value

Usually CPO, the process might be slow but they make it easy.

Typically I use the box of whatever I ordered to send it back with, slap on the label they provide, drop it off and wait for the credit. 2x points on trades are a nice perk.

Probably could get more elsewhere but it’s kind of like trading in a car vs selling outright. It’s just easier and takes less of my time.

The last 2 times it was through 2nd swing. Process was pretty easy. Price could be better but it wasn’t that far off what I was hoping for.

I will usually do Callaway or in person DSG (i can ensure I get my money)

Got robbed by Global once and a bit shy about doing it again
