Anyone ever thought about using running trail shoes instead of spikeless golf shoes? I like some of the spikeless shoes but saw these UA trail shoes and thought they had almost the same bottoms. With these I can basically get two shoes for the price of one.

I used Adidas turf shoes for almost a year. Loved them and didn't have any issues playing in them.

I know a guy who did for a while. He said it wasn't much if any different.

I occasionally roll hot in my tennis shoes when my feet are bothering me and honestly...unless I go into the sand, I cannot tell a difference. Maybe I don't have enough torque or something...but I have not noticed any particular shoe helping or hindering except on very rare occasions

I have in the winter when it was a bit wet and it worked okay. I had to adjust my swing to a less aggressive push off on the back foot though, same goes for spikless as well. If you're a slow swinger, or not super aggressive, you can pretty much where anything.

I only wear spikes when the course is soggy. The rest of the time, due to three knee surgeries, I play in street sandals.
