What are your recommendations for best training aids for ball striking with irons?

Cant keep up with lessons right now so going to use the time to improve the swing and try to make it repeatable.

Inconsistent ball striking. Thin shots, chunks. Direction is fine.

If you're going fat to thin it sounds like your swing is inconsistent (I AM NOT AN EXPERT)

One of the tips I worked on from him was placing a tee (or similar) about two inches in front of the ball (to your left if right handed) and aim to be hitting that rather than the ball on your strike path.
