True Temper Steelfiber Nexus

Got a little time with each of these in today, will have more on that when I can get to a keyboard.

But I’m not getting any similarities to other things I’ve tested or reviewed in either shaft feel wise. This is a u pique experience, so if you’re wanting me to bring the “it feels like xyz” to the table, let’s get that disappointment out of the way now.

Unique.

And no, I did not overpower the Blue, NOR did it spin up for me, even in the MAX-K at standard loft

Finally got it back from GG.

Really excited to get to swinging this shaft. Plugged it into my ai smoke and swung it without a ball and it just felt right.
Well that is a relief! Get some swings in and keep us posted!

Not wanting to jump ahead, and assuming you will cover this eventually. But is the feel similar between the two shafts, just with different trajectories?

No, they’re unique from one another for sure.

I’m gonna be following your thoughts and experiences since we both like the Denali Black.

Hit a couple down the middle today and then a couple left. When I do start it left I don’t get the feeling it’s going off the planet left. I’m finding I seem to have good face contact which makes me think this is timed up well with my swing. I haven’t had a great indoor swing lately, with this or with my other driver shafts, but when I do hit it well I haven’t seen much if any departure from my typical launch and spin.

It will be a fun comparison because they are made by the same company and I have no complaints about the Denali

OK, just a handful of swings yesterday and none really going at it crazy like, but, these two shots I wanted to share. One is the ADAPT LS 9.0 10g back, the other is the ADAPT MAX-K 9.0 turned to 7.0. Both using the Nexus Black 65X.

Which is which? Hahaha

I'd like to think the Max-K is the lower smash one at the bottom. But then again, I know how good that face is at retaining ball speed. So I'll say Max-K is the top one.

I'd guess the bottom is LS, only going by clubhead speed.

Bottom LS would be my guess.

I’m guessing Max K on bottom

Here I thought it was going to be a Nexus Blue vs Nexus Black comparison.... and then I wouldn't have understood ANYTHING going on lol.

FWIW, spin difference for me so far between the two is about 120 RPM.

Moreso with the launch/height being so similar, if they had been the shafts, it would have blown my mind lol.
I think that is what I am picturing the difference between the two being, adifference in launch, and a lower/higher peak height.... but anticipate being completely wrong when everything comes out.

You'll be a little surprised, but not a ton. Hahaha

Those are pretty darn close for a max k and la comparison. My guess is top is Max K and bottom LS mainly based on the club head speed.

How's the feel difference? Different kick point between the black and blue?

Shafts typically don't make the drastic differences that most think they so spin and launch wise.
Have you ever seen some that close though?

All the time. On solidly struck shots, the difference is much less than most like to believe. Now, TIMING with a shaft can cause bigger changes, but well struck to well struck, its never as drastic as one thinks.

Remember though, I hit all sorts of profiles all the time, so the adjustment is less drastic for me. But, it does help give a really good picture of reality vs what our expectations are.

a little backstory: I have a Short backswing, Low height, low carry, and historically before last season was approx 180 yds off the tee. Avg is now over 190 since Dec 2023.
I will be testing the blue 50R in a 10.5 Callaway AI Smoke Max D

First thoughts.
Looks:
Love the color. As I mentioned before it’s so blue it’s like vacation blue. The grey goes into so well. A few glamour shots

What's up THP!

I know we have an awesome live event going on right now, but wanted to pop in. Going to be testing out the Blue S flex Nexus. It is about 57 g. Never used anything under like 65 g so it should be interesting.

I usually hover around the 105 SS with driver depending on the day. Driver has always been really hit or miss for me playing wise. It can be a weapon or it can be a liability. I am hoping to see stability with this shaft, but the ability to have it load and unload without a lot of effort. Shaft profiles are unique and one person will feel something totally different than another.

I will try to provide whatever insight I can. Please as any questions that pop up! I will be able to get out with this a couple times this week to the range to grab some initial impressions. I will compare mostly to the Lin Q Black/ Lin Q Blue for comparison sake.
