True Temper Steelfiber Nexus

I think both versions are.

The Blue in a more explosive and active way, you can feel energy being transferred from user to the ball. The Black is much more subtle and connected, but there’s not rigidity/over-stout sensation.
That subtle and not over-stout description is really intriguing

Obv Blue is the one I'd probably lean towards. I know they are technically Aerotech, but I love lighter PX graphite wood shafts.
It’s interesting though because they are, but they aren’t. Haha

It’s imo very much a PX wood profile, all the material tech and innovation which makes those a great fit for me historically, but with the added perks of SF under the hands.

A lot of talk about butt end stiffness, which can be a little polarizing when it comes to how different people describe feel.

Simple question.

Do you think the Nexus feels pleasant to swing?
I really enjoy swinging it. I don't know if it's the lighter weight, or if it has some decent kick, but it feels fast through the ball. The butt stiffness is different from what I was playing prior, but it's not off-putting.

It’s more “there”, but too many confuse that with being too stout imo. Likewise though, I think too many use “loose” for something that is simple more active through load and unload.

I'm so open to ideas on driver shafts right now. I've often went away from the stiff butt section, though I'm not really sure why. Will be interesting to see how I like it.

That's great to hear.

I’m definitely finding it quite energy efficient in terms of through swing and transfer to head (then head to golf ball)

I’m really curious to see how you hit the blue in the MAX-K here in not too long.

Oh my god I'm excited lol

I can’t wait for you to swing it. Plus it’s got that dance red and blue WellMXS I bought on it too 🤣

Simple answer
Yes

Can anyone compare the feel to another shaft we may have heard or used? Or is it completely different feeling?

Earlier I described the Nexus blue as “sturdy” . I stand by that word until I can find a better one. Stiff it is definitely not.

I mentioned it a bit after my initial swings, but the only shaft I can relate to the Nexus Blue is the Ventus Red TR. I remember the first time I swung the Red TR after using a Blue TR for a long time, I was shocked that the Red felt a lot stiffer seeing as it's the high launch profile. The Nexus is a similar feeling. It feels pretty stout in your hands, but like the Ventus Red, I'm sure it's more active in the bottom 2/3.

Interesting. I've never swung a Ventus red only the blue.

There’s not a comparison imo. Even those that talk about stability in the hands, don’t have this level in all my experiences testing.

I agree with this, but it could be great if people can compare it to something they have been using or were fit for? I think it might help some that do not have it in hands, figure out if it could work for them.

I’m sure that they can, I was simply speaking for myself. It’s something I’ve been trying to mull over for a couple hundred swings now, and still haven’t found one that, for me, is a close comparison with just how stable these are under the hands.

Do you find it rewards an aggressive move the same way a PX shaft does or is it a bit more laid back?

I will get this out with the Lin-Q Blue for a comparison and try to give insight between the two. A lot of people have some experience with that shaft it seems. Similar Mid/Mid as well.

I actually think it is quite pleasant to swing. I was surprised how much I liked the feel of it.

With the blue you need to have a smoother transition to get it to work, once the transition happens it does feel like you can just swing as hard as you want in the downswing. If the transition is too aggressive it doesn't work the best. That is just how I am interpreting it.

Ohhh great comparison. Looking forward to your thoughts.

The black for sure does so far, it’s more effective the more that is put into it, it seems.

The blue is so far much more rewarding to a more smooth/moderate tempo for me, but it is lighter in weight and flex than I usually play.
