True Temper Steelfiber Nexus

Based on how I hit it in the sim, I thought I might go a different direction with the driver shaft this year. I feel like I get a little less speed and a little less efficiency indoors. But getting it back out on course this week it’s just been really consistent. I think one could help in my mini driver as well.
That is something that is going to make it tough for me to go away from this shaft. The consistency and dispersion is significantly better than with other shafts

Wha would you try to peg it to?

I might be confused by what you are asking exactly but the stability of the shaft is incredible and it is not boardy. The steelfiber under the hands gives you that stablility feeling but the tip is active and doesn’t make you feel like you got to work to get the head square at all.

If you are asking what other shaft it compares too I would say the lower part feels similar to the Velocity throughout the swing but if the handle was more stable.if that makes sense

Thanks. And yes, was basically trying to ask what you attribute the performance to.

I put the 70X Black I had in my Cobra MD and I’m liking the combo. Knocks some spin off and slightly tighter dispersion so far compared to the Tour AD DI 6X I was thinking I’d play in it

Looks interesting, but I'm guessing it might be hard to find one to demo.

I'd like to try one. I've had Steelfiber iron and wood shafts for many years - the company was in my hometown and I got to test all kinds of fun stuff. The owner sold it to TT, then passed away out at sea fishing. Chris was a great guy.

Just saw they came out with Nexus Iron shafts! Can’t wait to read up on those, can’t find anything on them quite yet

Yeah, that’s definitely something I’d love to get to know more about.

If they play like the driver shaft I am in haha

Been using the Titan as the sim last few times but this shaft will probably stay in the bag and stay close just incase. I really like both of them and they have different feels. I really like the low flight I get from the Nexus Black. The consistency is hard to go away from.

Same (but with the blue). I never thought driver would be one of my “consistent” clubs, but here we are. The Nexus blue just gives that little extra height too I really need.

It was to the point where I had no reason to try the titan other than pure curiosity... because the Nexus Black plays good for myself.

The NEXUS iron shafts build on the same theory and design as the wood shafts.

One other benefit we really have in the lighter weight parts is that lighter weight Steelfiber parts like the 55, the feeling got overly stiff, especially for that target market. With the NEXUS construction we can keep some feel and liveliness at the tip end we couldn't do with an all Steelfiber part.

What nexus black weights and stuff will be available for the Iron shafts?

Sorry they aren't on the site yet. We are trying to limit work going into it since are going to shutter the current one in the next couple of weeks.

Thank you sir. So seeing S being the stiffest. Someone that swings a little harder would you just recommend full steelfiber or steel then?

I think @DB TT put Nexus Black iron shafts in his irons recently if I interpreted his IG story correctly

The Black 90S was modeled to be an alternative to the i95S in regular steel fiber with a little more softness in feel. If you want something a little stiffer I would recommend hard stepping. Performance in our testing was very close.

Would you recommend these for use in a hybrid?

Ya I may get one to try out in one of my irons hard stepped just to see how it plays. I love the flight of the Driver shaft. I am in a graphite X 120g iron shaft currently and they launch a little higher than I like
