UST Mamiya LIN-Q PowerCore: The Game Changer Arrives

It is, and your comment is why I am asking. There‘s not much info out there on these hybrid shafts yet.
Right with you. Since hybrid shafts now appear to be available from the place I bought my driver shaft, I think I might grab one.

I typically stay with a shafts closer to my irons in hybrids, but the feel of the PC has me really intrigued.

Honestly, I would have never gone White and so heavy without help from someone who knows his dtuff and has seen me swing.

I would've probably gone Red or Blue 7X. I currently play a LinQ Blue 7F4 in my 7W. Funny thing is, I ordered the White tipped with FF33 instead of the old adapter...

I'm pretty exited to have them and see where I can get with the White.
Do you think going with the White profile in the driver is a good place to start if you usually play shafts in the Low/Low category?

Yes, definitely (coming from a former WB and Ventus Black user)

okay perfect, I played WB for the majority of last year. I will be ordering a PC white when the New New gets released. Do you have any comparisons between the PC white and the WB?

I'd say yes, if the release and the flight suit your needs.

I know flight wise it will, in terms of release... I have no idea lol

Played around in the sim today after not swinging again for about three weeks.

After I got myself to stop trying to control the shots, hover the club at address and just go for it, man the PC Red delivered!
I was just missing fairways, but always in a decent spot. It's quite easy to miss fairways at Bethpage Black...
But I'll take these numbers any day.

That fairway looks TINY!

Even pulled up UST website, that doesn't really help to make sense of the difference.

Might be one of the worst major manufacturing golf company website to exist ever haha.

They could do better with a better website / marketing through their website.

agreed. And I can't even get the website to load properly this morning in Chrome.

Those numbers are looking good!
Was that spin typical of what you were seeing in the session?

I was sub 2k a lot! I even went to C7 (+2*) for a while and that increased it and launch. But got more distance with A1 and just around 2k.
I tend to be really low spin off the tee. This was with ProV1X RCT.

My gripe is for a long sustained company, I can't find any information relevant to present or past products in an efficient manner.

Golf retailer websites may have more information on shafts than UST does.

That Sub 2k spin, when I see it, usually ends up with some crazy good drives. Maybe not the most ideal for playing outdoors, but absolute nukes on the simulator!

We don't usually have crazy wind here, so I don't mind being even under 2k. But I know increasing spin would likely help me and I've been trying to play spinnier balls off the tee. Increasing spin through loft gets me ballooning at times and I don't like that.

Past products are still there, in the archived products, which FWIW has pretty much all of the same information on the shafts as when they were released.

I get it though, but lets keep this more about the Power Core shafts itself. If you do have questions, ask away, plenty of people willing to provide help/advice, or to point you in the right direction.

ordered a Qi4D and decided to try out a Blue Powercore. I have the weight kit for TM heads so the counterbalance in the blue sounds like it should be a fun fit

Shaft Up #2 annoucement is now up - for those curious, you better apply to this.

Has anybody gone from the m40x Blue to the Powercore Blue that could compare them?

The non-color is a standard hybrid shaft. The color versions are the TSPX options.

I'm thinking of it like the difference between LIN-Q and LIN-Q TSPX or DART and DART V.
