OK THP, let’s get some input to what would be comparable if I considered a powercore having never gotten any swings with one. Current shaft is Diamana GT 70S. Also have played 60s but the 70 seems to be a little less penalizing when I get quick with the tempo and turn it over a bit too much.
White or blue 70S?
Should I consider White 70R?
I think you’d be happy with either white or blue in 70S - how well do you typically launch the ball?

Additionally, when you hit it well, are you saying your hands release a bit later in the swing? Your comment about hands being too quick are very reminiscent of my own swing, and have been working on “slowing” down the release in my hands. It’s why I think the White works so well with me.

So I see the PowerCore is an upcharge on Callaway for the new drivers and fairways! My question is, would I be better off ordering the White 6X, 7X, 8X with the driver, 3 wood and 5 wood or would it be better to get a stock shaft and then order the PowerCore shafts off a third party and get the TX versions?

Some notes:

SwingSpeed: 115-118 on course cruising

More on the aggressive/fast side for tempo

I was also thinking about getting the 6X, 7X, 8X tipped an inch on the Callaway website to maybe get them closer to the TX versions.

Thoughts?

I believe your SS is pretty close to @ttucliffhanger - just me, but I’m not sure I’d want to try and tip a share to closer to TX (vs just get the actual TX shaft). What weight do you normally play? I’d go with that in White TX IMO.

I probably swing around 112-113 cruising on the course but top out at 118. I get your concern but when you are spending $700 on a driver already just to drop over $300 vs $125 upgrade. Had Danny not put me in a TX I’d be in an X had I just bought the shaft. I’ve played X flex for a long time. I think it all depends on what profile he gets and where he’s fast at tempo in his swing.

I usually go with 60 in driver, 70 in 3 wood, and 80 in 5 wood! So you wouldn't recommended tipping the 6x? Just order a 6TX?

Okay, this makes sense to me! What did you see with the TX vs the X? Thinking maybe the TX is the way to go and just do it right the first time! I do have a pretty fast transition in my swing!

I don’t know if Danny had me try the X to be honest during Shaft Up. Based on what you are saying I’d go TX. I am only putting X in my fairway wood though.

i appreciate this!

Appreciate it! Would you recommend it in fairways too?
Not sure to be honest. Like I said. I have a white 7x, so not TX coming for my 3w.

Did you ever hit the TX?
Not unless Danny had me at one point in a 7TX but I don’t think he did. I have a blue m40x tspx 7x in my 3w now so it should just be a smooth transition.

Well, now that Shaft Up is off the table for me, I'm strongly considering pulling the trigger on a FW and Hybrid shaft, though I should probably wait until I get my driver shaft in just to be sure. But the cart is built.

So when you pulling the trigger? And what’s in the cart?

Blue 6 S for the fairway (might consider changing this to 7 S) and 7 S TSPX Blue hybrid.

Quantum Max 3 Fairway with a Powercore Red 6S incoming. I've typically always played White S in my fairway woods, but after toying with the Red S in a 7 wood last year I'm ecstatic to see what it does in the 3wood spot

I already have a White Powercore 6s from the PXG driver that I could cut down if I need to go that way.

Just trying to get a nice variety.
