Finally got service back a little while ago. Total down time about 9 hours. Looking forward to a bill credit of a dollar or so. That makes it totally better.

I was SOS all day. Thank goodness everywhere I went had WiFi. I just used FaceTime or google
Voice to make calls.

I woke up this morning and still had nothing. Restarted my phone and instantly had a full signal along with a flood of texts. Seems to be working for me now but we’ll see how the day goes.

Mine kicked back last night around 10-10:30.

Verizon better kick back a nice little credit.

I just saw on X they are offereing a $20 credit. Not automatic either, you have to go through the MyVerizon app on your phone to get it.

woke up this am, and it was operational.

Verizon is saying it was software, but didn't say anything else. A big old blank spot on that one.

Yep, noticed it on Course Wed while talking up THP to a Kid I was playing with. Went to show him and we both realized no connection. Irritating that Verizon didn't send out an Email. Same thing happened 2 years ago with ATT. Again, no Email. Just suffer and wait Customers, just wrong. Reminds me of Comcast

Looking to make the switch from T-Mobile to Verizon. Other than the outage earlier this week, are people still pleased with Verizon? Considering this promo.

I'm staying with Verizon, as this outage sure was a freaking bummer, but we have an actual landline that has worked out well during hurricane season. Plus I, well my wife has a huge cooperate discount via the DOJ with Verizon. Changing would wipe that out.

Do you have copper to the home? I was the earliest adopter of Verizon FIOS and they cut the copper. Back then, I had a VOIP and have since moved completely to cellular.

I've been with Verizon for so long I cannot remember. I do recall the reason was that the service was clearly better than the next leading provider in my area - AT&T. I too have contemplated switching, to T-MOBILE because of price. If I knew for a fact that TMO service is equal or better, than it is a no brainer.

We do have copper for the landline from the local teleco. 1gb internet via Spectrum. For us switching our mobile would be a budget killer as far as cell goes. Might in a few months switch my internet since AT&T is burying 100% fiber to the home in your CC area. No nodes on this plan thankfully.

Luckily I wasn't affected by this. But hey, those that were received $20 :ROFLMAO:

Used to be with ATT. When I got nod for BagBoy at Ballyhack I switched to Verizon. Not troubles at all. Trip to N Mexico driving I had zero dead spots

I wouldn't switch because of the outage, because let me tell you that all of the services we rely on are going to experience an outage at some point. I would switch if the service is no longer the best in the area and worthy of the premium that I pay for it.
