Volvik XT Soft Golf Balls Review

But they all hate soft balls. Most play Srixons XVs, TP5X and such.
Totally get it.
FWIW, the TP5X is actually the softer of the two TP5 balls.

Rock Bottom Golf has the XT soft for $17.99 dz. great deal!

But i did put a sleeve of XTs in the bag for this breezy leauge starting in a little bit.

Not sure how to beat this price!

6 more dozen coming. I've given many away and will keep doing that

I have now played a couple of rounds with the XT Soft. It’s a good ball. My only concern is that I probably could benefit from a ball with more spin. But with how much the balls cost, I have no problem using it at this point in the season.

I just got 6 dozen for $119 total

That same 6 dozen ProV1x would be $357

XT soft is definitely a good choice for me in the cold and wind. BUT.... Warmer days I am playing a firmer ball. Had a pin tucked behind a river. 84 yards. I nipped my 58* perfectly and threw it 5 yards behind the pin. I should have zipped back down the slope closer to the pin. But it stopped dead. This ball isnt unplayable, but I really prefer more spin on approaches.

I’ve played the XT Soft exclusively for almost a year now. I love it and it fits me really well. I made some swing changes right around the time I got the XT’s to test last year and have been wondering if what I’ve seen since then is ball related, swing related or both.

I found a couple boxes of ‘24 Pro V1’s in the back of the closet the other day and put them into play my last 2 rounds. I played ok with them but I noticed a few things. Right off the bat I noticed I was about a club shorter with the Pro V. Being a short hitter that’s a no go but I kept them in play to make sure it was the ball and not me. It wasn’t me, I was consistently shorter with every club. The second thing was the spin off the longer clubs. I expected my misses to be worse than with the XT but I didn’t know how much worse. The misses weren’t horrible but it was more than I was really comfortable with. The last thing was my distance control with the putter was better with the Pro V. That’s been my one issue with the XT. It’s gotten much better, especially this year so far, but it’s still an issue. That being said the performance everywhere else offsets that for me.

It was fun and interesting to go back to what I used to play and see how it performed with my new swing and ball flight. But I’m going back to the XT. I’m more comfortable with it and the results are better.

Greens were soft yesterday so I went to the XT to help control spin on longer wedge shots. The plan worked well. On both par 5's in a 9 hole round the ball was within a foot of its pitch mark with an 80 yard 58⁰ and a 90 yard 54⁰. Had I played one of my firmer premium balls those would have spun back to whereever they felt like stopping.

Cold and windy today so I played the XT Soft. Such good manners in the wind.
And even my regular partners were commenting on the bite they were getting on little knockdown wedges.

I played with these for the first time while also possessing the ability to hit the ball in the air today, and I really like them. Love the feel off of every club, but especially short game shots. Plenty of spin around the greens. Excited to play these for the foreseeable future.

Spin around the greens was what I really noticed with you today. Some shots were actually quite shocking that they checked up

Helps being able to actually make clean contact on chips.🤣

Been playing the XT Soft for several months now and see no reason to switch to anything else. It's just been a great performing ball at a great price.

Have enough stash now to last at least the rest of the year.

I'm just trying to figure out how my Truvis addiction is going to continue if I decide to play this.

The ball is very good. But, the yellow color with black stripe blends in too well with one of our course's yellow range balls.
