What are you looking for in a putter?

Three things, basically.

1- efficient forward roll right off the get-go
2- sound profile (usually a light mill)
3- simple presentation

...and then the obvious: ball go in hole

Roll and targeting lines important.
Sound and looks not a big factor but a bonus.
Love my putter once it's in my hands I'm home.

I want to drain putts. If your buying new go get fit. They may be able to help. I self fit my armlock and getting it adjusted where I wanted it made a huge difference for my stroke and an even bigger difference on alignment. By getting it upright enough I can now set the line directly below my eyes which eliminates distortion on the alignment aid caused by eyes being offset with the target line.

Whatever feels right, whether it is weight or grip. I also look at any sightlines on it, if they are a benefit or a hinderance.
