I need a new book to read. What fiction books are you reading?

Preferably not a long series, I get bored after about 3 books of a series 😂

I'm reading a non-fiction book at the moment but when it's done I will go on to this classic. Looking forward to it.

So I won't recommend the Destroyer series to you, 153 books so far. 😬

How do you feel about fantasy? Check out the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. Only 3 books in era 1 but can lead to a bigger universe if you like them. There is a second era set 300years after the first, several stand alone Cosmere books, and 5 books in the Stormlight Archive series era 1. They are all sort of fringe connected but can easily be read stand alone.

We visited Key West last May and since I’ve read a handful of Hemingway novels, some that I haven’t read in 40 years. Currently, “The Sun Also Rises”

I can't say I have ever really read much or any. My wife loves it. But after seeing the actual Goodreads rating on these, I think I will give it a go.

Thanks!

Finishing The Institute by Stephen King. Phenomenal.

Book 2 of The Witcher series. Time of Contempt.

So far I have found them a bit hard to follow with the political side of everything, but as soon as the main characters are the focus they have been a fun read.

Just finished 11-22-63 (for the third time) and The Shawshank Redemption (both by Stephen King). I started The Minds of Billy Milligan (re-reading this one) by Daniel Keyes and The Case Against Reality by Donald Hoffman yesterday.

Just starting, Ben Holladay the Stagecoach King, by Frederick West.

Started Wool, the Silo series, but family and work have definitely been getting into the way.

Got hooked on the Bosch novels by Michael Connelly. Watched the series on Amazon but wanted to read the books. Reading Angels flight. I have to say they are damn good.

Dungeon Crawler Carl.

This series has been my escape from all the never ending ******** and frustrations of the past couple weeks.

Just finished the 2nd book of the Silo series. Really solid.

Andromeda Strain. Been meaning to read it for years. Really getting the hang of reading on Kindle.

This is next on my list!

So far, one of the best I’ve read on this subject:

I haven’t read a “real” book in years, Kindle app on my phone is just so much easier. And I was always a guy who loved the feel, heft and smell of paper books.

It’s a convenience thing for me too. I can log into the library and just check out the ebook. Versus driving across town. And if I finish a book, I can just check out a new one and keep reading. I like it!

Red Widow by Alma Katsu

Finished the 5 books of the main Witcher series, and I thought book 5 was absolute trash. The payoff of 4 books of build and then it fell flat.

Not sure what I am going to read next. It was weird not grabbing a book last knight for the first time in months.
