What Club Slot is Your Money Pit?

As far as $ spent, driver. And since I would keep the predecessors, there was a lot of going back and forth until I finally found the Cleveland currently in the bag..

When it comes to struggles, it’s the 2nd slot, currently the 5w upgraded this year from a 4w I’d topped for several years before. It’s almost never the equipment. :ROFLMAO:

For years it was the putter. To me that club is the most fun to try out the new stuff. The last couple of years though it's been irons. I just haven't found a set that I've loved. It's been an expensive slot lately!

Putter for me- somehow I can justify a new putter or two at $300-400 a pop (in most cases) but can’t justify driver or anything else for just a little bit more.

I was gonna say Golf Balls...then I stopped Skimming. 😉
I'd have to say lately it's Wedges. I'm having a hard time finding a replacement for my 58⁰ Glide. Something about its Bounce and Grind is unique to Ping. So far it cost me over $200 for an Opus Plat Black 😍, so Gorgeous and yet a total fale. It pains me to try again.

im the opposite, i really hate replacing clubs unless i feel i have to. For example, in a perfectr world they would keep making the Mizuno MP-20mbs for eternity and i will just re-buy them every year (i love them that much), im going to replace my irons, driver and wedges in 2026 and im already stressed out a bit cause of it, i know thats a huge contrast to most people here.

Close call between driver and putter. Forever it was driver and I would stick with a putter for 10 years or more. Since joining THP I’ve bought probably 8 putters at least and the TriHot will probably be joining them.

Yes.

Putter and FW are always in danger in my bag. It's not you, it's me, really.

I am an “equal opportunity” spender of money on clubs. Right now it’s irons.

Putter, and it’s not even close.

Every slot of a 14 way bag.

but as @outlawx and @kiwichris know, it’s really the putter.

You're making a career of it, I'll be honest 🤣
I need my career to afford it.

So I guess you’re saying go look at the Toulon ZT? Got it.

If by look you mean get the 0 and 45 then yes

First, it was hybrids for 20 yrs until the PXG 1st Gen Hybrid with a Tensei Red (high launch), Ping 425 ... love them ... onto the G440

Then it was fairways - TE Exotics Beta was my favorite, then Rogue ST ... getting accustomed to Ping G440 7 wood, and as the redo of my swing improves, I'll try the 4 wood.

And always since 1995, it's been putters ... but that seems to have stopped with the OZ.1i with TPT shaft.

I don’t like the CS feel. It’s like the new S2S ones. Input too close to the face makes it feel weird.

The 90 is closer to my Ping that I still adore! But I mean…

Well I know I’ve had over 400 putters since 1982 so……

Putter until recently

Wedges.

Putter for me. for sure. I just love putters and all of the different styles and looks to them. Easiest club to change in the bag to give yourself a completely different feel to how you're playing.

It rotates every year.

All of them except for hybrid - that thing will probably never leave my bag.
