What did you shoot today?

Can't break 80 for a month then shoot 75 today, 41/34. 1st time under par on the back 9 and started the round 3 over after 2 holes. Played with a 10 Hcp who shot even par.

43/39 for a PB tying 82.

Had 3 birdies, one penalty. Never had a round with more than 1 bird

Put a tee shot within 18" on a par 3 and hit one to the collar on a short (275) par 4.

Made a lot of putts.

Just swinging smooth and dialing back the hard swings. Much better results.IMG_20200824_120539.jpg

Two rounds. Two distances.

7k - 39/39 = 78 Had a triple and double on the card 😭

6.5k - 35/35 = 70 (-2) Had 8 legit looks inside 10 feet I couldn’t get to fall today 😭

48 (+11) on the front, 40 (+5) on the back for an 88. Decent back nine, but couldn't undo all the damage from the front. 6/12 FW, 4/18 GIR, 29 putts (8 one putts, 1 three putt).

The score is the score, but I didn't play well. No two ways about it. Was really excited to play tournament greens today, but was all over the place off the tee after hole 5. Mostly survived it, because I tend to, but on a couple courses at home that would have been ugly. Not great.
I so look forward to the day when -3 is a "bad day" for me!

9 holes after work

36 (+1)
Finished with back to back birdies

40/39=79 today. Right at 6000y. 11/14. 9/18 and 33 putts. Putter was cold today and burned a lot of edges.

Played a course in Hoffman Estates, Il today called Hilldale. It was kinda warm out there this afternoon (understatement!!!). Shot 41/46=87. Pooped out on the back nine.

Played from 6400 yards which is a bit more than I would normally play, but the boss needed to in order to be eligible for his birdie pool. The extra distance didn't really seem to hurt me, more the inability to putt on the greens. 12th hole I hit a good drive followed by a great 3 wood. 87 yards left. Hit my 54 degree, come up short in the bunker. Tried the 50 degree, got closer but still in the bunker (we were dead into the wind). 12 feet left on my 4th, and 3 putts for double. Looking at the scorecard I really didn't think that I had that many pars. N8 (my boss) is working on some swing changes and I've never witnessed him hit so many snap hooks; he's usually good for a half dozen a round, but it was literally every shot. Not once did he pull driver.

Missed an eagle putt on 18 for a 77. 6700 yards par 73. Same course last week and was 2 under. Golf.
5 par 5's? Not common.

the missed eagle putt was on a 635 par 6.

44/43 for a 87 on a course I haven't played in a couple years. 6/14 FW, 2/18 GIR (!!!), 29 putts. Driver was misbehaving today, I was hitting a lot of worm burners.

35 on the front, 3 birds, 2 bogey's, going into the 11th hole -1 par and beating my lowest score and boom a golfer jam and now waiting on every shot.... Had 45 on the back nine and all that badness coming inside the 6 holes of being sandwiched between the 4 in front and the 4 behind bearing down on us. Happy to be scoring an 80, but I've got to have a bit more mental toughness I guess. I don't get angry just a bit bent out of shape.

We started as a foursome, 2 left after nine holes and that easy playing becomes a little rushed or feels rushed now that the other two who were there are not playing their shots. I'm sure everyone has had that, just my turn today :D

39/38=77 2nd day in a row I have hit 50% GIR and it feels good. Would still like to get this # up to about 12/18 at a minimum. But knowing I am finally increasing them makes me feel better.

41 - 38 - 79 on a very sloppy track. Almost 4 days of basically non-stop rain. 2 birdies, 10 pars, 3 bogeys and 3 doubles. Sunny today, finally, so the course should be in much more playable shape tomorrow.

75 today. course rating 71.2/129

Least favorite local course and I started off just how I finished the last round - wild off the tee and having to hit great rescues to survive. Couldn't pull it off on #2. Kind of just played straight for a while after that, and tried to sort things out. No real notable shots. Finally got a birdie on 9 after a good drive and long iron in. Kind of just took off after that. Started playing the wind better. Nearly holed one from 85, dropped a 15' and a 30' putt on back to back greens, and started letting go with the driver a little. Still had to make a great rescue on the back, and pushed the last drive pretty bad, but felt awesome to get on a birdie run like that. Irons continue to be just insanely good from any position. 3 days of movers at the house means I'm probably done for the duration. I'll try to hit Wildhorse on my way out of NE. Looks like I shot my stupid cap for the first time in 6 rounds.

First round had a double and bogey on the front. 😭

Second round was 18 consecutive pars.

38 - 40 - 78. So much for hitting my summer stride that I thought was coming after real good back to back rounds last week. Have hit the ball very poorly overally since those rounds. 2 birdies, 10 pars and 8 bogeys.

77 with 3 birdies. Lowest score since coming back to the game and way better than I deserved. (wild off the tee today)........... (really wild)

I went over to my son's house this morning and took back a set of Hogan Apex Pro's that I lent to him while pretending that I didn't hear his grumbling. He sent me a text on the way to the course telling me that he hoped that I shanked every swing. :ROFLMAO:

The Hogan's were pretty solid, and my iron game feels great overall since having a friend/pro look at me.
