What did you shoot today?

Another 81 today. 10 GIR, 37 MF Putts. To sum up golf this week, I've been playing fairly well but my short game and putting have been atrocious. Not just 37 putts today, I screwed up more than a few easy chip/pitch shots, etc... I am left feeling like I left a lot of shots out there, so I guess I can work that into a positive. Usually its my short game that is paying for the sins in my long game, so it will come around. In the meantime, its feels awkward to not have my game around the greens. I'm looking forward to putting it together.

83 today with nothing worse than bogey. 7 pars and 11 bogeys.

I am so ready to put 2 9's together again. 42 - 36 - 78. Was just completely lost on the front 9 then made 7 pars, a birdie and a bogey on the back. 1 birdie, 10 pars and 7 bogeys.

42/45-87. I’m getting good practice on these low on sleep, early morning rounds. It was tough to find a rhythm, the foursome that went out at 6:50am played a 4 hour round and didn’t let the twosome in front of me play through. And the twosome didn’t ask me to join them until #14. I wasn’t sharp overall and especially on the greens. I did have a chip-in and couple 300 yard drives! And no triples...

Net +1 with 7 birdies. Took the ZX7 today after a long coming re-shaft. Drove the ball well (TSi3), but to shine a light on just how good the ZX7 were, I putted like crap. Well the greens were crap, and I putted to match. Regardless, 7 birdies and 1 putt made longer than 6'. Birdied 4 of the first 5 and then intentionally hung back off the tee a lot too. I like those ZX7's.

109 at Torrey Pines South. The course was in incredible condition but playing brutally hard in the lead up to the US Open. They let the kikuyu grass grow in and the rough is thick with narrow fairways and lightning greens. Was pretty happy to be under 110 as it was playing much harder than normal. Hitting out of that rough was like hacking through barb wire.

We had our dad out for his 70th birthday and had an absolute blast. My dad took home the low score of the day playing from the same tees as us and was still putting drives out there to 230-240.

41/43 for 84 today. Two par 3 holes gave me the most problems. Driver was on point today also. Had a blast with @MagicSpell @AzGolfer and @Roadrunner today! Beautiful weather not so hot but @Roadrunner jinxed us with some wind 🤣!

Squeezed in a quick 9 today and managed a 5 over 41. 1st 2 holes I ended up hitting three off the tee. Playing a yellow QST and the course is overgrown with dandelions in full bloom, 4 of us and we couldn't find my balls! Took a white Soft Feel from one of the guys to do the last 7 holes with! 🤪

It's a real eye opener to play a course in pro tournament condition, isn't it?

Your Gila Monster pic reminded me that I forgot to share the pic of this guy who visited us at the course up in Kingman the other day. Chuckwalla, dude was about 18" long and doing pushups on the rock while we teed off.

39/43 at AZ Nat’l today from the Blues, with a nice 15-20 mph wind on the back nine.
29 putts including a 3 jack.
Iron and biker play are still weaknesses.
One in our group shot 66....😮

It’s crazy. Torrey is always hard but they told us to expect it 10 strokes harder than normal today and they weren’t kidding. Short game and full shots out of that rough are crazy and it’s not nearly as thick as it will be for the tournament. My dad is normally a lights out putter and even he struggled on those greens. We played from 6600, the blacks should be playing from 7800. Can wait to see what these guys shoot.

At the home course Friday I hit the tee balls well but distance control with irons was off and I couldn't putt. 43/42 = 85.

Today at the home course saw some improvement in the irons and putting and put up a solid score - first 70's round of the year - but a couple shameful chipping displays show that there is still room to grow. 39/40 = 79.

Az national today. Teed off at 9:30
Ha!. Thought looked familiar. Don’t see that perspective of #11 in photos too often.
we went out at 10:20.

Golf is frustrating. I hit it poorly yesterday and scrambled for a 74. Happy with that round. Hit it well today and shot a 72, really frustrated with today's round. :beat-up:

I did see that some groups were lagging behind at I.V. on Sunday. I teed off at 6:30 as a single and finished in 2:45 after a twosome and threesome let me play through. Not fun when an early group plays slowly.

83 Saturday, 77 Sunday! Had a lot of course help from the trees which bounced me back into play. I had a chip in birdie on Sunday, too. No lost balls! Driver was...interesting.

Only played 13 because of work. +4 thru 13. +2 on the front.

Where'd you play in SB/Goleta?
It's my hometown where I grew up in the 70's/80's

Last Thursday I was given the go ahead to start walking again after breaking my leg on March 19th. So I did what anyone would do, I went golfing. Predictably it was...difficult. Shot a 62 and barely made it through 9 holes.

Tried again on Saturday, and made it through a full 18, though I was hurting when I finished. The good news is I shot 56/43 = 99. A 42 is the best I've ever shot on the back nine at my home course so I felt good about the 43 on the back. Not too shabby after a long layoff and a very sore foot/leg. Tonight I'm back in league after needing a sub for a few weeks and I'm super excited. I doubt I'll play great but just to be back in the mix is going to be awesome.
