What did you shoot today?

First time touching the clubs since October, and it took me 5 minutes of moving other stuff out of the way to get to them in the basement. I shot a 46 with 2 pars and 1 triple. Couldn't be happier, especially since my elbow while still not right at all, didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. And the pars came on holes 7 and 9, so I finished on the right note.

39/38 - 77
38/35 - 73

back to earth yesterday front 9 was in line with my handicap, only one nasty hole where it started to fall apart. The back 9 my right ankle broke down and I couldn't get the swing going, things went right, I had no power... trash... +17 on the back 9.

41 in a quick 9 with the wife after work (she dropped a 49).

The +6 41 is right on my HCP number for the front 9. Tee games was solid on most holes but putting was on fire today to save me, dropped a couple 12' putts and got some of my longer lags within 18" which was helpful.

I also was more aggressive with my chipping as I had been chipping to a spot expecting more rollout but the RTX 60 degree I swapped in (same as my other wedges) has been spinning the ball so well that there has been little rollout and a "good" chip was leaving me with a longer putt than I wanted. I was more aggressive with the chipping today and trusted the spin to good effect.

Game is coming around......smoked a driver 290+ on the first hole which was nice.....along with a couple really solid 3W tee shots

Shot 42 on nine after work this evening. short game saved me as I had one putts and a chip in, including a 20 footer for a birdie. All in all not too bad of a round for me though.

Final Florida round for the winter before we head north tomorrow. 40/47=87 in the Saturday morning skins game. Started off with a birdie and a string of pars but then I remembered it was skins and started taking chances I otherwise wouldn’t have. Sixteen players and there ended up being only two skins on the day and they each won $16. It was a good winter. Posted 83 rounds and played about 15 more scramble rounds. When I got here 12/11/24 my index was 18.1, today I’m at 15.1, pretty happy with that improvement.

43/39 - 82. Front was slow but we passed a 5 some at the turn which helped a lot

Getting closer to where I want to be

Won the back, total and 3 ctp from Casey so +$13 today 😎

Friday night couples scramble and Mrs. Reject carried the team with a birdie on hole #2, our last hole , in the cold and dark at 8PM to win by 1. I got both CTP but otherwise pretty crummy golfing

It was a cool and windy morning and I couldn't get my swing going early, front nine was 5 bogeys, 2 doubles and 2 pars for a smooth 45. Quietly worked my way around the back nine with a lone bogey on 11, the remaining eight holes were pars for 38.

Had it been 10 degrees warmer it would have been a repeat of the ocean course conditions - the wind was absolutely relentless on the back!

40 on the front with a triple on 1

The back is not worthy of any discussion

First time on a gimmicky position focused course where if you don’t know what you’re doing you can launch a ball off a cliff on 10 of the holes

Shot 93 at Renditions. 80s was right there for taking. Better putting would have definitely gotten it there. Shot 4 better on the back and the first two holes I wish I could have re done lol. Amen Corner got pretty unlucky with some lies in particular.

Up and down 42 with 2 birdies and 2 pars. I started amazing with a birdie which is the 1st time I’ve birdied 1 after finishing with a birdie on 18 Wednesday. I was so confident going to 2 and had a bad couple holes but hung in there.

A mediocre 87 on quite a windy day. My full wedge game must've been left at home, I don't think I had a GIR with my 48/54 all day, just duff city every time

3 up and downs, 33 putts, 9/14 fw

43/42 = 85 in first league of the year. Windy as hell which made the course play tough, but honestly putting just sucked. Didn't basement putt at all the last week and it showed. Every day this week, I'll get it back!

Tale of two nines. Put the driver away at the turn.

Today was possibly the windiest round I’ve played. And it didn’t let up the entire round!

47- 41 =88

Putter was ice cold again today. 3 x 3 putts was saved by 3 kick ins.

I didnt even add it up. Cold frost delayed start. Soaking wet course. But after my back loosened up I was hitting the ball very well. Hit some really good shots from tough lies. I am not too displeased.

A net -1 that should have been better.

Long game is getting to around where I want it to be, gaining strokes or on par with a 5 hdcp, but short game is killing me, and putting could be better.

45/49 94 terrible. But I did learn a few things.
