What did you shoot today?

41/43
3 club wind and yesterdays swing tweak didn’t line up very well 😂. Had a lot of looks despite hitting some absolutely atrocious shots. The goal was to keep it under 85, and despite the rough ones, I’m encouraged by that.

41 on an afternoon 9 from the tips. Should’ve been lower, went on a nasty bogey train from 4 to 8. But since it was from the back tees it still “helped” my index.

45-43 for 88. Didn't do much well at all on the front, though my short game probably saved me 5 strokes. Started off the back with birdie and 3 pars, then went double-bogey-triple-double and threw it away. Struggled with just about everything today. Playing a scramble Sunday so I'm hoping I can hit it better then.

Seventh round in the 60s in the last month! Five of those rounds I shot my age or better, including today. This round tied my PB to par at 5-under. At age 68, this is an incredible streak, and I hope it never ends!

My basic round stats were:
Score 66 (31/35)
FIR 93% (13/14)
GIR 83% (15/18)
Scrambling 67% (2/3)
6 Birdies / 11 Pars / 1 Bogey
Putts 28

My team shot -1 in a Honest scramble. :ROFLMAO:
We actually came in 3rd. We got a nice caddie towel as a prize.

Played track that I hadn't seen before today. Shot an 83. Absolutely couldn't hit the green today to save my life. Did hit 71% of my fairways. Just miserable knowing that I have corrected a lot of my putting woes

An interesting 76 today (41/35)

Started the round bogey, bogey, double and finished the front 9 with a triple bogey after putting my tee shot OB on the 9th, but then shot 1 under par on the back 9 by holing out on 16 for eagle, then a birdie on 17 and almost made another birdie on 18

Could potentially have been an under par round were it not for the front 9 debacle

I finally broke 80!!!

Got to play golf with some great friends today. Shot an 85, which was lucky, I made a 50 footer for par and a 35’ for bogey. Just hit some stupid shots today. But hey, it’s better to be lucky than good sometimes!

Middle of the round nine this morning, but played with some good friends, so I will take it as what could be the last real round of the year if I can't get out in the next couple of weeks. I even pulled off the old exploding ball trick. The video is me hitting one of the other ones I had on the next hole, as I don't want to post a video of my buddy without his permission in public.

On pace for another good day! Got my 1st birdie of the day on hole 13. A par 4 and this shot was from 131 out, it stuck and came back.

So so today. I was short 61% apparently, so that kind of sucked. Putting was good, mostly because of being short I was chipping on a bit.

45/39 for an 84. Could have been better except for the quad on 9.

2-man scramble today.
3 birdies and 0 bogeys for a 69.
Nasty, nasty pins today.
We were +3 with 2 birdies, 5 bogeys.
Ended up even par for the two days.

If I turned the card sideways, I could fit in “GOD AWFUL.”
Emergency range sessions before Thursday.

So check out these numbers... 2 fairways, 11 GIR, 2 double bogeys, 5 birdies, 27 putts. 38/35 73 which is a new PB at the course I play most often. As per usual, playing really well coming into a get together with THPers, so we'll likely be putting up a couple 90s at Kinderlou next month.

I had my worst round of the year today and probably more than half the shots I hit were good. I literally got the worst result out of any shot, good or bad, that I hit today. Made no putts.

F this game.

Woke up to frost and some dusting snow, but went 38/38 in some gnarly cold wind. I was geared up for the 1°C temperature, but put some good swings on the ball, and played some bonus holes to try out this new swing feel. Home track is closing after tomorrow, so that’ll be one of my last of the year.

Sounds like a tournament I used to play in San Jose, CA. It was The St. Patrick's Day Classic. We'd have a field of 130 participants in its hey day.

It was known for its crazy pin placements. They would put the pins on a slope connecting two tiers. Stick pins less than one stride from the edge of the green on the side where the green is protected by a water hazard or greenside bunker. Tuck the pin right where it feeds into a ravine just off the green. Stuff like that!

It only took one bad shot to create a blow-up hole.

40/38 to close down the season at my home track. Played with Earl, an 80 year old who said he shot his age every year since he turned 72, and I’ve never wanted a putt to drop for a guy so bad on 18. He knocked down that 7’ and celly'd with a big ole fist pump. Awesome stuff today.
