What did you shoot today?

37/40 for 77. And that was with two doubles and a triple. I was out of mind the other 15 holes playing some of the better golf of my year…
2 under for 15 holes o_O That's phenominally incredible for a 10 capper.

And honestly I left a couple strokes out there on those 15…

Scoring conditions are getting tougher as we get closer to winter weather. Gusting winds, cold, recently scored or punched fairways, and leaves everywhere. Birdies in particular are harder to come by. Given all that, I am pleased to card an even-par round.

My basic round stats were:
Score 71 (35/36)
FIR 86% (12/14)
GIR 78% (14/18)
Scrambling 50% (2/4)
2 Birdies / 14 Pars / 2 Bogeys
Putts 32

37/41 = 78 at the home course with 5 fairways, 6 greens and 26 PUTTS 😲 which is a record. One bird, one double and a bunch of pars and a couple bogeys.

Part of it was a bunch of fringe putts but still great putting! Despite the windy and wetter conditions, I felt like I kinda knew where the ball was going for the first time in probably a month which was nice.

Oh and it was a ton of fun to have a THPer at my home track for the first time, thanks for coming up to join us @dAS0!

42/40 = 82. The course was packed and it was really slow, my 2 buddies bailed after 9 so I played the back 9 solo.

It would've been easy to get frustrated by the terribly slow pace of play (especially solo on the back 9!), but I turned up the music, parked in the shade whenever I could, and made the best of it. It was a beautiful, sunny 88° day, I was having fun getting to know my new wedges in the bag - man, what's not to love? 9/14 FW, 5/18 GIR, 29 putts with no 3-putts.

Great to try out a new course. Appreciate the invite @SkiBumGolfer ! A solid day off the tee, 50% fairways, but some iffy irons and wedge play. Still, shot an 80 at a new course in the wind. Found a par 5 green in 2 (3 putted from 90+ feet).

I managed to get one more round on my home course today! That's not a given, since we're heading to close down season fast. The course was in a really nice condition and I managed to play resonably well for my level.

Okay, ShotScope is telling me I played a LOT better than recently.

GIR and putting as well as being pretty good off the tee helped:

I got out for a quick 9 over the lunch hour and shot a 39 at a course I haven't played in over 20 years.

37/39 =76
1 Bird, no doubles and a lot of 2 putts. 16, to be exact. I guess that mean I'm hiting a lot of greens.....for a change.
Left a birdie putt on the lip, mainly due to the volcano effect of whomever set the pins this morning 🤷‍♂️

Little recap from the past few day full of golf at some amazing courses... Weather not so much the first tournament day hence the no pictures haha.

11/1/25 Pendleton Golf Club in Ruther Glenn, Va for a unofficial THP meet up with @Pharaoh, @E.Appleton , @Papa 3-Putts, & @hackitup

Course is a links style course designed by Thomas Walker. It has more than enough elevation changes to suit everyone fancy and that includes on the greens! Cant think of 1 green that didn't have at least 2 level and many were 4 level that confused many minds! This is forsure a course I would say you have to visit if you come to Eastern Virginia. MY game was not so great honestly as Driver was streaky but contact was good, Fairway woods just had terrible contact. Ill blame the inconsistent speed on the speeds for my putting haha

11/3/25 Kingsmill Resort Golf Woods course in Williamsburg, VA for a VSGA 1 day tournament

Course is a narrow woods style course designed by Tom Clark. First I just want to say we were not suppose to play this course as it is a member only course but somehow plans changed and the VSGA tournament was hosted here instead... Very forgiving for a tighter woods course as long as you missed inbetween the fairways and not off to the dense woods side haha. Also well placed bends and trees to ensure you stay on your game. Elevation changes throughout the course but nothing to notable. This course did have some very tucked away pins that were protected by water and bunkers to ensure you hit the intended shot or got punish. This was a day of rain and wind so not the best conditions but the course handled it great and greens still had plenty of speed. I did not warm up before this round as it was raining and I said screw it so we went in blind haha. Driver was a On/Off switch but contact was good, Fairways woods again were terrible. Iron play came around towards the end of the round. Finished Tied P2 in the M4 flight.

11/4/25 Kingmill Resort Golf River course in Williamsburg, Va for a VSGA 1 day tournament

Pete Dye designed course that is mostly forgiving with wide fairways but LOTS of bunkers in the fairways, and even more around the greens. I will add that most of these bunkers had lips that were easily 3ft tall so you had to take your medicine if you happen to miss into 1 on the fairway. Greens were some of the best I've ever seen as far as firm but receptive. Rolled fast but you could easily stop the ball on approach(don't judge because I 3 putted alot haha). This is a course you can tell guests play alot as the greens and fairways had alot of unrepaired pitch marked or divots but even then 1 of the better I've played. I decided to hit the range for a good 1hr before the round to figure something out and wouldn't ya know it, something in my grip... As far as my play Driver was VERY consistent till the end of the round where I was getting a bit tired and lazy hitting very short. Fairways woods were still terrible with contact all over the face BUT Irons were the true hero! Finished Tied P2 in the M4 flight

Had some beautiful weather yesterday so got out for a round. Shot an 80 with a 3 putt on the final hole 🤦‍♂️

41/42 for an 83. Had a decent back 9 going at +2 after 5, then carded two doubles in a row to blow it up. Finished out the last two holes at -1 so that helped. 10/14 FW, 5/18 GIR, 30 putts with no 3-putts.

Birthday round spectacularrrrrrrr!

Windiest day of the year and its not really close. Played absolutely out of my mind and best round of the year by a good 5-6 shots. Best round in over 4yrs. Last time i played this well my dad was alive & he was there for it. Kind of emotional but he was with me today. Hell of a way to potentially end the season. (Hopefully not)

-1 on the front
-3 on the back

I shot a 71 on a cold, windy day on freshly punched greens. But the rest of the course was in good shape. I was unexpectedly delayed by a service provider that showed up at my house, so I got no warm-up and it took four holes to settle in, then shot 3-under the rest of the way.

My basic round stats were:
Score 71 (38/33)
FIR 100% (13/13)
GIR 67% (12/18)
Scrambling 33% (2/6)
4 Birdies / 10 Pars / 4 Bogeys
Putts 30

Yesterday was awful and somehow really good. I'm technically not supposed to be playing yet after getting in an accident last weekend, but I was feeling well so I went for it. Definitely noticed some apprehension the first few holes and it showed. Once I loosened up, I hit some really good shots and ended on a high note despite lipping out two birdie chips and 3 birdie putts on the last 5 holes.

How's this for a scorecard: Double-Double-Triple-Quad-Par-Par-Par-Par-Par for a 47

Talk about settling in!

It was like someone flipped a switch. Can't remember a round like that. The last 5 holes were some of the best I've played all year after the worst start I've had all year.

Shot a 45 today at Rob Roy in Wheeling. Fall golf is fun when no one is in front of you. Finished in an hour and 10 minutes.

Fall golf does thin out the herd, doesn’t it?

41/40 = 81
1 birdie, one double.
Lot's of scrambling since I hit 79% fairways, but only 5 greens in reg, yet only 31 putts incuding a 3 putt.
Made the most of a poor ball striking day with the irons.

41/37/78. Hudson Mills. 8.8 differential if we were still posting scores. Rained all night. Stopped at 10am and I teed it up at 10:15. 43 degrees at the start and about 50 when I was done at 12:30. The course had wild turkeys roaming all over the place, maybe 35 total in 4 flocks

Was pretty happy with my bounce back back 9 today. I was a mess on the first few holes. Was swinging tentatively and just not putting anything together.

I had a little slap myself in face moment (WAKE UP!), and actually turned it around. 43-38. Ready to get back out there.

84 at Spyglass. Made a mess of 5 and 11, otherwise was reasonably content with my round. Birdied 4 which was cool.
