What did you shoot today?

Another great weather day in Colorado. I was a little worried that my recent low scoring (for me) wasn't going to travel, as I'd been playing a very familiar course the past 3 weeks in a row. This round felt good and the triple was caused by a pushed tee shot to a blind approach that ended up in a trap leaving a 50y shot to the green. I tried to get a little too aggressive with the 54 deg and ended up hitting the lip and back in the same bunker. Then the 60 deg came up well short with a triple breaker from about 70 ft. Damage was done.

38-45 for 83. Three bad swings caused me 3 doubles on the back nine. overall I am not upset with how I played I scrambled well and made some putts today.

41/47 = 88

43/37=80 Yesterday.
Parred the first 2 holes, then stunk up the rest of the front 9 w/ 5 bogies and a double.
Back nine was a little better, and birdied my nemesis hole, shockingly. ( It's terribly designed par 5 )

Nice finish! Love it when the back 9 owns the front.

Funny, I picked up a scorecard at the turn and the kid in the starter shack said " you'll need this for the tougher side" :p :):ROFLMAO:

First 9 of the year, walked with my trolley, shot 38 with 13 putts, 4/7 FIR, 3/9 GIR from 3190 yards

86 walking 18 in three hours. Pleased with score but man am I tired. Need to get on a program this winter. Plus a better push cart!

At Frisco Farms this morning with my Senior Group from he White Tees. 36/38-74 good day with an Eagle on #8

After temperatures below freezing and snow on the ground almost all of December, we got a little two-day reprieve. Reached 50 degrees today. Should be the same tomorrow. While the wind was blowing, the tees were pulled back, and the course wasn't in great shape, the real reason for my highest score in a few months was rust. Specifically, about 5 chunked approach shots. Everything else was fine.

Score: 79 (40/39)
FIR: 93% (13/14)
GIR: 39% (7/18)
Scrambling: 27% (3/11)
10 Pars / 8 Bogies
Putts: 32

Shot an 80 in my league last night. Pretty happy

Round was going great until 17 I was 1 under and then topped my drive LOL and doubled the hole. Still managed a 35-38-73 with a double, 3 birdies, and 2 bogies.

The second of our 2-day mini Indian summer was great. More of a social round on a different course today. Greens were in great shape for January, meaning green, shaggy, and bumpy. When the growing season gets here, they should be fantastic. Two days ago, there was still quite a bit of snow on this course, so it was soggy, slow, and cart path only. I'm happy with the result, especially the putting, which is weird given the conditions. I made over 100 feet of putts.

Score: 78 (40/38)
FIR: 92% (12/13)
GIR: 28% (5/18)
Scrambling: 31% (4/13)
2 Birdies / 7 Pars / 9 Bogies
Putts: 28

Interesting tidbit. I played about 9 holes with a ball that had a chip out of its core. It took a while to figure out why some shots were going nowhere, and others covered the usual distance. That was the first time in a long time I have had a ball do that.

Yesterday was the worst possible day to play, but I had an itch and had to get out. When we teed off at 3pm it was 59 degrees with sporadic rain and little to no wind. At 3:10pm it was 45 degrees with a 15-25mph NW wind. It stayed like that throughout the 9, but we decided to just keep trudging on. I shot 47 and topped the ball probably a half dozen times. It was not much fun. I had gone to Top Golf last friday and I think it really threw off my timing after using their whippy clubs and just trying to smash home runs. The last 4 holes I managed to hit some decent shots but it was already a waste at that point.

Side note: My buddy had his umbrella attached to his cart when we started because it was raining. We didn't even get to the green on #1 before that north wind whipped around out of nowhere and tried to Mary Poppins his cart. The only thing that stopped it from running away is the umbrella folded inside out 😂

Just got to play 9 holes today on the back at my home course. I shot a 39 (+3) while going OB 3 times… my woods lately have been so terrible. I’m not sure where the ball is going to go, yet my irons are so good I can make up for it much of the time.

Also putting has improved since the putter switch and that’s awesome!

Played pretty well minus one hole. Had a moment and hit my drive OB and got a double on hole #2. With that said shot a 38-37-75 with a double, 3 birdies, and 4 bogies.

11 under 61

In a 2 man scramble

Today, first time playing in 6+ months wasnt able to get on the range much before hand and still working alot of things out but Shot a 113, Struggled in sand and over water hazards today. Wind was not in our favor. Lost 5 golf balls so that is a plus that I did not loose as many as I thought I was going to 3 were just trying to carry over water in the wind.

Save for the two pars on 13 and 14, maybe my worst round ever. Not necessarily by score, but overall play. I assume it is partly due to how painful it is to move my right elbow right now, as I can’t fully extend it and it would explain why I was pulling outside in or now even making ground contact from pulling my hands up early.

All this considered, still can’t complain about golfing in January with views like this.

Played in one of my geezer golf tournaments. Won my flight and got a closest to the pin on a hole. Played very well. Shot a 36-34-70 with 3 birdies and a bogie.

Played in some insane wind today. Sustained 30 mph with gusts of 45 mph at The Tribute in Dallas. Took some holes to figure out a swing to work with that wind. Shot a 44-38-82 with 3 doubles, 1 birdie, and some bogies. It was pretty miserable.
