What did you shoot today?

Played 9 holes today in a 1 club, cool wind. We have wet weather forecasted for this evening.

I put together a mix match of clubs just to do something different.

The irons were the ancient (1988?) Spalding Executive EX clubs these clubs I found to be in new condition.

Driver, and two fairway woods were Adams Tight Lies (19??)

Two wedges were my old 2 (1990s) 52 & 56 TE Ironwoods.

Putter was my trusty MG 415 CR Putter.

Wound up shooting another 40 score. 4 bogey 1s, and 5 pars. Had 15 putts.

Todays score gives me 45, 40, & 40 scores for 27 holes

Those old Spalding irons are just a great iron for my swing. I honestly believe Spalding could re-introduce these irons, with a little dressing up, and they would be a successful selling item for
them. Balls fly long and straight.

Sigh.....I started out hitting better than I had in a very long time on the front nine, shooting 16 over, but something happened on the back nine and I lost my swing. I did shoot 8 strokes better than I have been recently with a 108, but I missed at least a half dozen putts by either lipping out or barely running by the hole within 1-2 inches. I missed my best chance at a birdie in probably 10 years by duffing a sub-5-foot putt as well. It is still great to be out playing in Hawaii in mid February so I can't complain too much.

Played in my old man tourney today. Shot a 39-39-78 with a birdie, a double, 7 bogies, and an eagle. Just so happens the eagle was my first HIO. FINALLY!!

Congratulations! That's awesome!

Sneaking a HIO in there? Nicely done! Details please!

It was a 164 yard par 3 into a wind of around 25 mph. So I hit a chippy/punched 6 iron. Landed it short of the green and it rolled up and in. It was sent pretty was basically an old man shot. I could fly a 6 iron all the way there but wanted to lessen the risk of the wind catching it.

Nice that it was a shot that you had to really think of with the wind and hit differently than normal, and you pulled it off!

42/39 for an 81 in league play today. Good enough to put $17 in my pocket. This was my last round for the next 3-4 weeks and I’m happy it was a good one. I go in tomorrow morning for pituitary tumor surgery, I probably won’t be able to play for a month, maybe more.
Surgery went well and recovery has been better than I expected. I don’t see the surgeon until 2/20 but feeling as good as I am I decided to play 9 last evening. Nice, easy swings, trying not to over do it, shot a decent 42.

Been dreaming about playing a round for the last 3 months!

Just got an alert about more snow incoming on Friday so looks like my dreams about playing outside will have to continue to wait!

40/38 - 78

And

40/37 - 77

a million... 45/47 for a 92.

41/39 for a 10 over 80.
Wind gusts to 20mph starting around the 6th hole.
I had 36 putts, Three 3 putts :poop: , and only hit 44% of fairways. ( normal for me 70% fairways and 32 putts and rarely 3 putt )
I did birdie the 17th and 18th, the last hole I hit a 8 iron from 135 to about 2 inches. The last shot was just a golf tease, trying to get me thinking I can play this game:rolleyes::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Playing again tomorrow. Will likely get kicked in the nuts.

So. Windy.

Two rounds, would have gone for three but it just got to be too much.

36/40 - 76 (with a freaking double on 18)

38/39 a 77 (with a bogey bogey bogey finish)

+7 41 on the front 9. Much improved from yesterday LOL

Today was a 2 over par 73. I missed a couple of 8 feet putts I'd love to have back but I'm very happy with my round

It was fine but not great yesterday for me. But the sun was out after a brief downpour and it was shorts weather in Feb.

My wife broke 100 (95 on a par 68 course) for the first time and tied me on the front 9.

Played the front 9 this morning as there was a Shootout tournament on the back. Posted a decent 5 over 41, but I lipped out 3 putts that could’ve/should’ve dropped. But hey, 2.5 weeks post surgery, I’m way ahead of where they said I’d be and I’m just happy to be playing again.

Started double, double, double and shot 11 over on the front. Settled down on the back for a 89 and least broke 90.
I would usually be mad but it was so nice to actually get out in February for my first round of the year. It was gusty today and that was a challenge as well.
On the bright side, my goal for the year is to beat the best player in our group twice this year (4.5 hcp and I beat him once last year.) He played like **** as well and I tied him. Could have got one out of the way🤣🤣

Played 18 holes at the Mojave GC down in Laughlin NV. My first 18 holes this year, and in 80*f weather no less

Shot an 84 for my effort. (43/41) Had 31 putts. Pretty happy with this score considering the new bag make up

A guy I was paired with decided he needed joke around about my 8 fairway wood bag. He kept it up for a few holes until he fell behind score wise. All in fun was my thoughts.

Im still getting use to the new FMs. Distance with each club (9-15) is still a bit dicey.

The 13 wood seems to be the least used club for now. I did hit a nice 1 putt chip wth it out of some deeper rough, so there's that.

Yesterday:
40/46 = 86 (par 72, course cap 8, net +6 )
4:25 round, 1:45 front 9.... :(
Mr. Parkinson showed up for the back nine, and didn't enjoy the slow play.
Three 3putts and 38 total, and missed legit 3 birdie putts. 4 doubles (3 on the back) and 2 lost balls
Oh well, playing again Wednesday.

We. Are. Getting. CLOSE.

R1: 39/35 - 74
R2: 35/40 - 75

Two doubles in the second round, triple in the first. What could have been……

41/41 82

2 double bogeys and a triple bogey in what was otherwise a very solid round. The putter is finally rolling SO MUCH better and iron play was solid. Close to having a game, we are close!

40/40 for 80
Beautiful day, finished in 3:40.
Putted poorly ( 37, Two 3 putts to end the round )
Otherwise hit the ball pretty well, Driver AI Smoke TD Max was on target all day, well except for a miss right on 15 which led my only double of the day.
I ditched my random pairing of non golfer as on of them was taking 5 to get out of the bunker on the 4th hole. I would have been close to 4 hours if I had continued with them. Nice guys, but I was into golf. Next hole was a Par 3, I teed off, hit it to 2 feet, made my birdie and they still hadn't come to the tee, so off I went.
On the #8 tee, a single was just walking off and I asked to join him, turns out it was a guy I met on the range a few years back who's a teaching pro from up north snowbirding down here, daughter plays at the UofA. We continued on to have a very smooth, enjoyable back nine.

So cool! Congrats on the HIO, and you had yourself a great round there, very nice day for you!
