What did you shoot today?

Hit the ball really well today but only shot an 86. Had 2 birdies on the front and had it going early. It should have been a lot lower but I physically got my ass kicked.

I took my shiny new remote push cart out for the maiden voyage today. Had it on the charge all day while I was at work in preparation. It worked perfectly...for a while. On hole 13 it just decided to die, despite showing over half a battery. I got it to turn on once, then it shut off again, and never came back. This particular model has no freewheel option, so it was a boat anchor at that point. Luckily a couple of my buddies were riding and they were able to fit it on the floor of their cart, but I still had to carry the last 5 holes in nearly 90 degree heat. Revcore Hybrid Lux is an outstanding bag, but it's not the greatest to carry, especially with the single strap. I need a massage.

That may be another thread lol

I remember taking mine out , on its Karen voyage and having thoughts of it not completing the 18 also. It’s a terrific unit ))

Shot 43/43/37 for my effort today. Played 54 holes in 3 days. I was draggin' the last few holes.
84/84/86 Im happy with those scores.

Putting was off today. Ì did make some nice putts, just too many misses other wise.

Also hit a lot of good drives, but like the putts, I had some bad drives too.

Just didnt score well.

Going to take it easy for few days. Im tired.

Continued to try to shake off the rust. Played Eagle Crest today. 42/41/83. Generally struck the ball well. Putting was not good (37 putts). My next round will likely be at RTJ Hampton Cove: Highlands Course in Huntsville, AL, next week.

Challenging conditions, so hard to be disappointed. This course is usually difficult but fair (slope 136). Lots of places where the turf was soup. The winds were blowing and instead of 50 degrees and sunny, it was low 40s and cloudy. Still, I'll take it. Good to be out there.

The short game was really good today (and needed).

Score: 78 (40/38) 6-over par
FIR 93% (13/14)
GIR 33% (6/18)
Scrambling 55% (6/11)
Sandies 100% (2/2)
12 pars / 6 bogeys
Putts 29

My best ever round! 81. Par was 70.

I didn’t even feel like I was playing particularly well. Just one birdie, and one double on the 18th!! Hah
CONGRATULATIONS! At the stage you are at, it's mostly about stringing together a bunch of pars...and you did it!

I shot an 81 today. The GolfTec lessons helped my swing. I just need to swing that swing and work on my mental game. Much better today than the 94 I shot last month and it ticked my cap down slightly. Fun day, but the AZ heat got to me on the back nine. All time heat record today.

81. Par 71 72.9/130 course rating. No birdies.

Par 71 course rating 72.9/130 from white tees 6300 yds. Shot 40/41=81. No birdies.

First round of the season in the books. As anticipated: couple of birdies, a couple of others, a bunch of pars and a bunch of bogeys. Good to get out there though.

First posted round of the year for me. 2 holes with lost balls. The bag is really feeling good, and if I can escape a round thinking "I only missed 2-3 shots all day", regardless of consequence to score, I'm a happy guy. No drops and no 3-putts puts me mid 70s and that's all I'm after these days. Perfect weather day too. I love golf.

Pretty bizarre round yesterday, went out in a smooth 52 (+16) and came in at 35 (-1) that recorded as an 85. I have no idea what was going on during the front 9, had a decent range session. I did have 3 holes where I either hit a sprinkler head or a yardage plate and my ball careened off into the water. Definitely a strange day.

Best Ball tournament with a friend and a beautiful 85* day at Suffolk Golf course yesterday. Course was in great conditions but the greens were hard so not exactly responsive but no complaints. The other 2 in our group were a step dad & step son in which I really hope everyone on THP is a better parent than this dude as he was just degrading this 15yr old teenage on every shot and movement he made. And to make it worse the dude was giving him advice as any parent would but by no means should he have been giving advice. They ended up leaving after 9 holes do to the teenage not willing to play anymore which I 100% understand! Anyway on to the round it was a good day and got to test the new Callaway Elyte mini driver. Chipping was not my strong suit nor was putting but we managed a decent score so if this is my bad days I'm not too upset

Score - 98
Fairways hit - 6 of 14 for 43% .... Missed fairways were either big pulls for slices from getting lazy closing the clubface. Not very playable
Greens in Reg - 2 of 18 for 11% ... Just kept coming up short or not hitting great shots within scoring distance.
Putts - 33 ... This number is should be higher as the p[utter never felt great all day but got lucky a few times.
Penalties - 3 ... Hole 1 I decided to go for it the green in 2 knowing 3W does not a great success rate. Well thinned it into the hazard. Hole 13 you have to lay up to the corner and I just yanked the 7w left deep into the woods. Hole 18 I sliced my drive into the edge of the woods, Decided to try and gain some yards back with 3w knowing its success rate from Hole 1, BAM into the hazard.
User Errors - to many to count ... Between duffed chips from not committing and hitting the shot then bad decisions on club choice.

Shot an 84 this Saturday morning. Brought the handicap down from a 16 to a 15.7 on my quest to 9.9.

Shot a 75 Saturday and an 84 on Sunday, on two different courses. Had my worst short game performance all year, but the best driving and ball striking. Hit my first 300 yard drive yesterday. It went 327 yards, but I had a lot of wind and lot of roll. Overall, great weekend of golf.

Shot a 42/38-80 on Sunday. It was my first double-bogey free round ever. I'm confident I would have broken 80, but we're still rolling on punched greens, so the ball does some stupid things on the way to the cup. New QMax driver is settling in and my confidence with it is closer to where I want it to be. Longest of the day was 274yds with several mid-260yd drives. No OB penalties or bad positions.

All in all, it was a solid, if not boring round of golf. I'm finally learning that smart, conservative decisions are better for low scores!

Played Seascape many times when I lived in San Jose.

Here is a tip. Learn to hit your putts with a little topspin. It tends to keep them more online.

42-41 83 Woodley whites...with a trip and a dub, and one birdie...basic hacking occasionally interrupted by decent shots...a three jack...5 hours 10 minutes which is about right for weekday senior muni...85 degrees, bar cart Korri busy and her usual fljrty for tips self...found a chrome soft and a weird Vice with paint splatter cover...cooler went dry by 16...poor planning there...

Shot 78 (42/36) yesterday with 35 putts. 7 bogeys, 1 birdie and 10 pars. Just couldn't get anything to fall until making my only birdie on 18. Hit some monster drives today, longer than ever on this course and had one of my best driving days ever. My iron and wedge game was pretty poor, which is usually a strength.

Only my fourth round of the year with the first being new low of 69. Haven't been able to build off of that in the following rounds though. Hitting a lot of balls this year playing in the Sim and striking it really well indoors but it isn't always translating to the course.

Bogey, par, par, birdie, par, birdie, Par, double, double = three over 39 on the front.
Waiting on nearly every shot after the 3rd hole, Mr Parkinson stole my swing starting on 8, and frustration set in.
We play 10 and 11 and that took 38 minutes, I called it quits, cut over to 18 tee, look around, nobody on 17 or 16 green, so I play 18. Finish hole, look back, still no oneon the tee, go back and play four balls from 150, putt those fo 10-12 minutes....still no one on 18! drive cart to parking lot, unload, change shoes, return cart, another 10 minutes or so. Finally a group driving towards the second shots on 18.
So, essentially at least 4 open holes, and the rest of the course backed up behind these clowns. WTH is wrong with people?
Oh and I was this close to a HIO on #6, with an 8 iron from 130.

Yep, I play here several times a week. Greens were just aerated at the beginning of the month, so they're still healing. I should probably just score every hole as a "two-putt" but it feels a bit like cheating, so I just mark it as scored.

First time playing on a course in 4.5 months.

92, not great but there were some good swings in there.

Played a round today at a par-71 track locally. Ball striking was good. That helped because the course is pretty ragged right now, especially the greens. We've had a fair amount of wind and rain, including last night, so there is a lot of junk on the course and on the greens. The greens also had lots of dead worms. The grass here is just starting to wake up, so some patches have grown, and some haven't. Nothing has been mowed, nor have the greens been cut or rolled. Many of you are experiencing similar conditions where you are. It's early spring golf.

Score: 73 (36/37) 2-over par
FIR 93% (13/14)
GIR 72% (13/18)
Scrambling 40% (2/5)
1 birdie / 14 pars / 3 bogeys
Putts 33

Went up to Crawfordville in the panhandle yesterday to play a couple rounds with a good friend. The course where he stays in his RV used to be privately owned but a few years ago the county bought it, refurbished it and opened it to the public last year. It’s called Wakulla Sands and they did a really nice job with it.

We played the yellow tees at 67.0/109 and about 5600 yards. Yesterday I shot 40/40=80. Did it again this morning and went 42/42=84. Pretty pleased with those scores on a course I’ve not played before.
