What did you shoot today?

39 - 38 - 77. 6 straight days of playing and walking proved to be a little too much. Couldn't muster up anything but a tired swing. 2 birdies, 9 pars and 7 bogeys.

Shot a 37 with a bogie and the rest pars. Game still in a good place.

+3 39. I feel like I could have done better. There was a wait period of about 25 minutes on a par 3 from my last putt on the previous hole to be able to tee off. I’ve never seen a slower couple in a cart. It kind of got to me and I doubled that hole. It’s on me of course but I was just frustrated at that point. Hopefully I get to go out again but the weather is starting to make it hard. Indoor simulators, here I come!

81 (39-42). Played pretty well on the front, good number of GIR’s. Two birdies and one double. Didn’t play as well on the back, missed out on some opportunities. But holed out for birdie on 18 from about 25-30 yards, so that was cool.

Also, before the round, hitting balls on the range, and my driver sounded weird. Buddy even commented on it. Look down, and there’s a huge crack through the crown. No idea when it happened, but had to be my previous round this past Friday. Luckily, my buddy had an old driver in his trunk. But instead of my custom fit M4, I was hitting a Ping G5 regular flex (I’m stiff flex). Was frustrating, but had no choice but to deal with it.

Back nine twice, 39 (+4) and 45 (+10) for an 84. Don't ask how a 6-shot swing playing the same nine holes happens like that, I dunno. 6/12 FW, 8/18 GIR, 34 putts with no three putts and 2 one putts. 9 pars, 5 bogeys, 4 doubles.

We were a twosome and got stuck behind a small league (3 foursomes). The leagues usually put their slowest players in the back, and it didn't take long for us to figure out why - we were behind the last group, and after 4 holes they were already 2 holes behind the rest of their group. Playing a scramble, no less. They finally let us play through on the 6th hole (#15) as they searched for 3 out of 4 lost balls, but then we caught up to their other groups and then at the turn, we had other golfers just going off that got mixed in between us. The second nine was dog slow, waiting several minutes on every single shot. A busy day and only nine holes open isn't a good combination.

When we got done I went up to the parking lot and put my clubs away, went down and returned my cart, we went up to the clubhouse and ordered lunch, and we were almost finished with our meals by the time that league group who let us play through came in. The rest of their group was sitting in there and had already finished eating, and I heard one of them yell "You guys just finished?!?". :ROFLMAO: I muttered "No s**t!" under my breath.

Got out for nine, probably my last outdoor golf of 2020. Shot a 48 with 14 putts, finishing with five straight bogeys. Nothing worked really well with the full swing. Forgiveness and a decent enough short game saved me from much worse

Stupidest round of my life.

SEVEN bogeys and SEVEN birdies.

Talk about an emotional roller coaster.

I think those are maddeningly fun! Or funnily maddening. Depends on the day. They're memorable though!!

87 today. Having not played in almost 2 months decent enough

Only went 9 today and shot 38. 1 birdie, 5 pars and 3 bogeys.

My last round of the year. Surgery Mi day.
45-46: 91
started out amazingly! Birdie first hole, lipped out a par putt from 8’. First lip out of 7!
Had another birdie on 16, missed a hole in one by about 30”. We thought it went in when we saw it bounce and then disappear.
finished 18 with a par in a tough 3 shot par 5.
Only hit 3 fairways all day. A big struggle and still shot 91!

Personal best for me!

81 at Pebble Creek in Greenville, SC. 40-41. 12/14 fairways, way too many putts.

Had a good round all my gear was working well. Fired a pretty sweet 69 today could have been lower. Made a few bad putts but kicked a few butts and took some money from the pack.

77 from the tips (only 6200 😌) at Desert Pines. My PB at that course is 76 from the middle tees. I had never played the tips, so I felt pretty good about it.

42/49-91

My back acted up on the last 9 and I lost my swing. Front side was pretty clean, score was high due to crap chips

42-42. Struggling a bit with my iron swing right now. I’m also suddenly getting more putts per round. Putting green install is a week and a half away and boy do I need it.

Played my favorite course in the state of TN! My first job was here as part of the grounds crew. It’s a tough course and if you’re not on your game it will eat your lunch. One of my favorite parts besides the scenery is the fact that they have bent fairways. It’s like hitting off butter! They are typically expensive for a round of golf but I learned they have a military rate so I will be spending so much more time here, well until they close for the winter. Shot a 89 (47/42) w/ 31 putts. Game was all over the place, but really enjoyed myself! Here are some photos of the course. Best shot of the day was after a topped drive. 240 to the pin and hit a 5w to 2-3’ for my only birdie of the day.

Continue to struggle with multiple doubles and triples. 44-47/91 Greens a little bumpy and at least 3 stopped on the side of the hole inside of an inch.

I honestly don’t know....lol. All I know is we won our match on 18

Back nine twice again. 39 (+4) and 42 (+7) for an 81. 5/12 FW, 8/18 GIR, 32 putts.

Just finished playing. 5th round with my new APEX irons. Looks like I'll give them 5 more rounds before committing to keeping them for the season. Find them to be a good feeling iron but the top line doesn't look right for some reason and they are on the small side.

Fired a beauty 68. Drives were snapping long, approach shots were laser focused on the pin. Not a lot of spin with these irons but they are okay. Can't complain about a 68 with new irons though.

First round in 2 weeks, and had to put another set of irons in play without any practice since them since my p790 9i head flew off at the range Thursday. So a good opportunity to play the new level 1126 forged

+11/+2 for a standard 85. 33 putts

Took me a while to get used to the composite shafts and distances, but got more dialed in on the back
