What do you do for a living?

How did I miss all this? Oh yeah--the Evil Dr. Mommy twin part.

Harry,
I thought we told you to stay on topic...

Like THAT would work.

But then I would be in the beer cart by myself.

What fun would that be? :pig:

Not for long!

And wouldn't it be the: "Claire from Clare Cougar Open" :p

I think this is where I get offended and storm off in a huff. With many of you following me, to beg for forgiveness.:desire:

I work for a large Real Estate Developer and Property Management company. I would like to start my own IT consulting company. A buddy and I have talked about starting one but never got past the talking phase.

I head up the development group for a publishing company (mostly web developers). I also started my own sports pool management site a couple years ago which has gone really well.

Where do I sign up to volunteer at the Claire from Clare Cougar Classic? I've got dibs on working the massage tables.

I used to be a male underwear model until I blew out my knee. They said I could of been one of the best of all time. Now im in the gas station business.

Quite a transition. Is the underwear now 'flame retardant'? :giggle::quiet:

I am an office manager for a heating and air conditioning company, where our office is sweltering hot during the summer and freezing cold in the winter :confused2:

Been in this job the last 5 years and still cannot figure out why people wait til heating season starts to discover that nothing works. I have my guys running themselves ragged.

You should hear the calls I get......."I've tried everything but the furnace still doesn't work...can you send someone asap", only to find out when we get there either the batteries in their thermostat are dead and need changing or someone has turned the power switch on the wall off :dohanim:

If I was paying $125.00 for a service call, I would make sure it was something I couldn't fix....some people just don't think :sidefrown:

I have a friend who is a plumber. He was called to Mission Hills (one of the richest areas of Kansas City) at 1:30 A.M. on a Sunday because their outside water wouldn't shut off. (They said it had been running all day!)

He turned the faucet off! Wrote down on the ticket, "adjusted the flow valve to the off position." Charged them for a weekend emergency call and drove back home and went to bed. He was there for 2 minutes.

Exactly!! If it had been running all day and wanted a service call....why the bleep wait til 1:30 a.m. to call??????? Unbelievable......

In our house, everything waits until the middle of the night or the weekend to break. And it usually involves running water.

Luckily, we really like our plumber. We should--we're putting his kids through college.

I am a urologist in Newport News, VA. Been here for 10yrs. Trained and grew up in NYC

I work as a custodial banker for a large financial firm in Boston. I manage a number of high volume funds concentrating in foreign markets. I am essentially managing fixed income and derivative products... ring a bell? morgage backed securities

anyways, I'm glad I still have a job after the meltdown

This thread has been dormant for a while and we have had a bunch of new members since the last post. So I'm just giving this a little bump.

It's been said elsewhere, but since this thread was resurrected I'll add it in.

I'm a sales division manager at Ford.

currently ive been on vacation for the past 3 years, lol. but im getting so bored now that i think i want to go back to work.

I work for a company that makes generators. When the generator reaches the end of the assembley line, its my job to hook it up, run it and make sure it works like its supposed to.
If it doesnt work right, its my job to figure out why and to fix it so that it does work right.

School gets you to college/uni, and college/uni is absolutley, 100% the best experience ever!

I hate the song, but I do love college.

right now I'm doing property investment/management
I've always thought this would be a really fun and interesting (and lucrative, in the right circumstances) thing to do for a living.
