What do you do golf-wise when not actually playing?

Hello amigos! Was wondering what everyone else does golf-wise when not playing. I make things. Mostly towels, but have dabbled in equipment repair, making or trying to make wood covers, and whatever else I can do. So what do you do to pass the time between rounds that’s golf related? Here’s some pics of stuff I’ve done:

I work part time as a club repair tech at PGA Tour Superstore. Also a semi-pro trumpet player. Play as much golf as I can.

Look at my clubs. Reorganize my bag. Clean my clubs. Regrip my clubs. Dream about my clubs. Think about new clubs. Explore new places to play golf. Talk about golf on the internet. Roll putts on my putting mat. Bump and run/spinner chips on my putting mat. Talk about golf on the internet some more. Pretend other things matter in my life...rinse and repeat.

Just tinker with stuff. Nothing grandiose, meaning if it gets butchered, who cares. Lots of wedge stuff. Mess around with putter set ups…then do it again.

Still new here, but learning. I do like the content here.

I do tinker from time to time. The picture of the Big Bertha 7 wood in my post was found broken in a creek. I fished it out and took it home. If anything I could use it as a paper weight, but I learned how to re-shaft it and now it's playable again.

Skim the boards, occasionally post. Also, my time in the gym is golf-centered, if not golf-specific. So even if I’m not playing or practicing, I’m at least trying to do something that might improve my game…then I drink beer in the evenings.

I bought a stuffed animal and some material to sew a sleeve inside, trying to make a headcover for my wife. I also bought some nice, plain white PU leather headcovers from Temu. I'm looking for some cool patches to sew on them to make custom headcovers.

I think it would be a cool hobby, especially if I could sell them for a bit of profit. Thinking I need to buy a sewing machine though.

I have 3 sewing machines. One needs to go to the shop. There are some good machines at thrift stores sometimes. Would love to see a finished product!

If not playing .. it’s in shed and maybe just pull and club and have pretend shot in back yard , we have lots of 90 deg angles in backyard so I use those for reference ..

Lots of times pull the alignment sticks out and use them ..

And brush the grass with the club , imaging a shot )

Always looks forward to the next 1st hole ..

And then there’s THP , and what’s been saved on TV to watch if not current live vision ( which is rare )
