What golf stuff did you buy today?

Had an Amazon gift card that I’ve been sitting on and I don’t really need anything equipment wise so I Ordered the superspeed training sticks. Gonna try to get that driver distance up more this year. Also got tripod for my phone to record swings when I practice.

Just ordered my new clubs...

  1. Maltby KE4 TC Hybrid pak with matching Pro Series Shaft of the rest of the bag. This should fill the gap between my 6i and 3h nicely. Approach shots from 160 - 175 were tough last year. An easy swing with this club should get me closer in that range - at least distance-wise (I'm talking to you @DG_1234 :) ).

  2. Maltby KE4 Tour + Pitching Wedge. The gap between my 9i and GW wasn't a weakness, but I decided to complete my 6i-GW iron set anyway. I will have to build this one myself as the pak would have been custom and difficult to order online. It will be my 1st real build with graphite. I'll have to read up on the butt and tip trimming to make this club consistent with the rest of the set.

  3. Maltby TSW 56/12 Wedge and TSW 60/8, both with Kuro Kage R Flex (75gr) shafts. I went with the pak on these wedges instead of building them myself. I had hoped to complete the set with the same shafts but made the decision to go with this option. The Kuro Kage seems close as both are at 75grams, but these shafts have a mid launch instead of a mid-high as is the case with the Maltby Pro Series shafts.

As I've probably mentioned far too often, I plan on improving my short game and I'm hoping these shafts will be ok around the green. I'm not as worried about short approach shots as I have a lot of confidence with my gap wedge on shots between 50 and 110. Still, I'm determined to improve that part of my game as well. Hoping these will be a good fit for both types of shots.

The only gap I have remaining (hopefully) is that between my driver and 3h. I initially considered a 3w but was concerned about my ability to hit one clean enough to justify having it in the bag. Then @Desmond suggested a 5w with a mid-high launch I think that's a better option. Going to wait however as their are "issues" at the top of my bag that far exceed the problem of a 25 yard gap.

The only non-Maltby club left in the bag is now my putter - and I almost bought one of those. Haha.

Nice setup. Pretty similar to me.

Since you are already “all in” with the Maltby KE line you may want to consider The KE4 Tour TC 4 wood. I struggle with a 3 wood too, but I can hit their 16° 4 wood most of the time.

I thought about that one as well. I've never owned a 4w, but the old 5w I carried was a dependable club for a long time.

What shafts are you playing @tehuti?

In the 4w I have a Kuro Kage Black. Hybrids UST Proforce V2 Black.

If anyone's gonna be spending time in the Berkshires of western MA this season, gimme a shout and come play it!

So I also just pulled the trigger on a new c-130 bag to match my new Zip.

40% off? Sure.

Received the 2 STZs, the daughters STZ 5W and 2 #6 MCraft. Mizuno don’t grip or cut putters down, so I got them finished tonight. I did get my STZ to the course and it’s just awesome.

14 way or 5 way? I chose the 5 way

I got the 14 way 'cause it's going on my zip navigator and I want to reduce the rattling around. I considered one of those tops that hold the clubhead but the bad reviews of those are really bad so it scared me off. I'm sure that this bag will work just fine.

I bought this insulated vest yesterday. I played in December in the 30s and did well by wearing a long sleeved shirt over my thinsulate vest. It made manevering easy without letting heat escape. This vest looks like it's gonna be awesome. My buddies have electric vests but I don't want the hassle of charging it. If it's too cold for this, I'm inside. It's made by Adidas.

Hot Punch acquired bitches! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

FINALLY!
Serious question. How many times will you actually wear these and what do the conditions have to be? Great looking shoe. But, there’s absolutely no way I wear those more than a few times and literally when it’s as dry and hard as it could get.

All the time.

I wear my all white with silver swoosh ones as my daily.

White shoes don’t scare me, it’s easy if you keep up with them.

man. The last white pair I bought were FJ DryNoy tours in all white. Loved em and would like toplay them more. I just can’t imagine wearing them in anything other than utter drought. Lol.

frigging awesome looking shoes.

All I play in is white as it doesn’t make my 14’s looks as big as ugly black shoes do. Just have to stay on top of them, I use pink miracle and they do well. Swampy days I’ll wear some old kicks, but 90% of the time I’m in white.

I usually reserve my polo purchases for courses I play, but I just couldn't resist this shirt. I won't make it look as good as Rory does, but........
