Static measurements are a nice starting point but no way to fit. We start with those, but I certainly utilize the fitting carts to their fullest to get the final specs. There is no substitution for hitting off a lie board, utilizing face tape, swapping shafts, and witnessing ball flights to find the perfect fit. I had a customer recently come in with a new set of mp-59s he'd had for 3 weeks and was ready to get rid of because he couldn't hit them. He was fit at a competitor for 4* flat (which were only bent 2* might I add) and we ended up with 3* upright. He was fitted 5* off! No chance for good results with that. He was striping his 6i in under 30 mins and is in love with them again, when he came in frustrated and ready to trade out of a $1000 investment for half or less.

If you were fit on the mat-t then by all means trust that over the one guys comment. Maybe he felt slighted that you didn't trust them for the fitting, and rightly so based on his comment.

Also, we guarantee a 100% refund 30-day playability guarantee on custom fitting orders.

Good customer service right here jlit, next time I get fitted I'll drive the 2-2.5 hours to Charlotte and look you up!! :D

Its amazing to me that in this day and age (economy included) that people won't look more at total value over cut-rate service and low price. Don't get me wrong, a deal is a deal but when your spending $500-$2,000 or more you really need to go to a place that have a professional, knowledgeable staff and stands behind their work...

From my understanding you have to forget what you see at address, as previously mentioned the head contorts through the swing and toe probably lowers naturally at impact.

Couldn't agree more. We offer a basic fitting, about 15 mins that is free and on a walk-in basis or a 45 minute advanced fitting where we can have more time to look at multiple shafts, etc for $50. And that $50 is absorbed into the purchase within 30 days from fitting. No brainer.

And if you ever make that 2.5 hr drive, a round will definitely be on the agenda!

Definitely!!! I'd almost drive there tomorrow just to be above 50* and make you go play... :D

Seriously, sounds like you guys do stuff the RIGHT way, the way it should be done!

Already a tee time and have a spot open! Mid 50s and Carolina blue skies.

To the other, that's the beauty of a new store. No bad habits to break and we can ensure everything is taught, or re-taught for those coming from "other establishments", to be done the right way. Never a need to half-ass anything is my motto.

There's a lot of trial and error in finding the right clubs. Even a professional fitting may not get it right the first time. Get the irons on the course and see how they feel. You can always have them adjusted later.
