What is ‘good’ putting? Are our expectations too high?

Like others, I’m still focused on avoiding/minimizing 3s for now. I know practice putting can help, but still.

Do you feel confident that you can two-putt from 40 feet? Do you feel confident over a four-footer? Do you feel confident that your read is correct?

Expectations are probably a tad high, but I'm also realistic with myself on putts when I read them. Number one goal is to eliminate/limit 3 putts (again, 3 putting from 40-50 feet is pretty different than 10 feet haha). Next is, am I hitting the lines I am aiming for with the speed I have in my thought process? If I do, that's a success. Even if I miss, then I can tell myself, hey good putt, just get a better read next time.

Putting stats from the tour just don't matter for me. They putt on very different surfaces than we do. Usually faster and usually much better conditioned.

For me any more no 3 putts is good. Making 1/3 of my 6-10' is good.
