I tried finding a thread similar to this question and was surprised I couldn’t find one. I probably simply overlooked it and if so I apologize.

Here is how I rank the four majors in terms of my viewing preferences…

1) The Masters
2) The Open (this is virtually tied with the Masters, plus I love the fact we can watch it first thing in the morning.)
3) The US Open
4) PGA

For me it's:

1) The US Open
2) The Masters
3) The Open Championship
4) The PGA Championship

Geez...such a tough question. Well, I know it's between the Masters and The US Open.....hmmmm I'm going to go with the Masters because it is sooooo steeped in tradition, the golf course is so gorgeous, and because IMO there have been more dramatic finishes starting on 16 than any other tournment I can remember. Nice thread.

the Masters followed by the British Open as a close second

#1 is the "Masters" for me. #2 is the "Open", and #3 is the "U.S. Open". The "PGA" is a distant 4th. :comp:

1. Masters - obvious reasons
2. US Open - definately the toughest test in golf and its nice to see the pros struggle once in a while, also it's a perk that you can play alot of the courses that have hosted it
3. The Open - it's where the game started you have to love that tradition
4. PGA - yes its a nice major but just doesn't have that prestige of the others

Masters, by a long shot
followed by "The Open"
then the "US Open"
and trailed way back by the "PGA"

The Masters
The US Open/The Open Championship(it's a toss up here, slight edge to the US Open)
The PGA

US Open and then the Masters. The other two are just kind of there for me.

I always thought Women's Studies would be fun, but I've been told it's not what I think it is.

Oh, wait. Sorry.

Can I go with the Men's and Women's U.S. Amateur? (They used to be majors.)

Harry, the best I can tell by following some of your conversations is that even if I said you couldn’t go with the Men’s and Women’s U.S. Amateurs it wouldn’t matter. :D

Its all about the open, the original and the best.

Order of Majors for me
US Open
British Open
Masters
Pga Championship

US Open and then the Masters. The other two are just kind of there for me.

Switch the US Open & The Masters for myself. Agreed on the other 2.

US Open
British Open (close second)
PGA Championship
Masters

US Open

PGA Championship
Masters

I feel obligated to ask why you ranked The Masters last? You are the only one I believe that hasn’t ranked the PGA last.

I think it's the most boring.

Edit, Added: The US Open and British Open are difficult and more exciting to watch, although the PGA is boring too, at least it has the POY/FedEx Points element to it to add suspense.
