What is your most nerve-wracking golf shot?

Water hazard down the right side…doesn’t matter where it’s at. I loose the ball right. Water left no issues…

1st tee at a THP event and you tee off early so others are around to watch.

1st tee at an event. Any hole where there is a prop bet on me.

Regular shots - Downhill lies and ball below my feet.

10 ft putt to save par.
I've sadly become numb to these because I know I'm going to miss 90% of them.

Now...40 ft putt for double+? With my eyes closed...goes in every time.

1st tee at a THP event and you tee off early so others are around to watch.
1st tee at first THP event...Shaft Up, so I have a brand-new driver in my hands...first hole at ArborLinks is a par 5.

Topped it.

Downhill chip onto a sloping green. Blading it right over and leaving it short are both in play and both spell disaster
That plus a thin lie. It's getting chunked or thinned across the green almost every time.

Funny how we all have different perspectives. I'll make bunkers my miss, or even hit them on purpose, because I know how the ball will come out. But to me deep rough is proof that Hades exists.
I will say you can at least put spin on the bunker shot...and I know how to hit a bunker shot, they're generally not all that difficult - so I know it's 98% a mental thing.

With greenside deep rough, I'm still at least getting it on the green 95% of the time...might be left with a 30 ft par putt, but it's on the green.

Put me in a greenside bunker - especially with soft, fluffy sand - I might be in there all week.

Right now its a shot in the 180-190 range. I don't have confidence with my 5i to help me there and the Heavenwood is too much for that distance. That is a gap in my bag I am hoping to fix next week,

Lately I've been an absolute basket case with 60-90 yarders from the sand. They're either going <30 yards or >130 and which one depends where the most penal miss is.

A driver shot with trouble left in case the old hook comes out

Any putt inside five feet 🤷‍♂️

Any fairway bunker ever 😂

85-100 yards has kicked my ass lately. It’s a 60° wedge for me but I’ve got a bit of the shanks going on right now with that club but I just keep giving it a try..

Downhill lie with a hybrid, fairway wood to a elevated green. Usually never ends well.

1st tee at first THP event...Shaft Up, so I have a brand-new driver in my hands...first hole at ArborLinks is a par 5.

Topped it.

Yeah but what were your spin numbers like though?

Until last week it was a four footer for birdie or any chance at a PB or “breaking __” milestone.

Now it’s just driver. Where’s it gonna go? Who cares? who knows?

Tight fairways with ob both sides. I have two short par 4s at my home course that are less than driver with trouble both sides. It's not fun.

My green side bunker game is pretty trash so it's probably that at the moment.

The feeling of taking a shot right after shanking one is rough.

The feeling of taking shot right after shanking two in a row is similar to the feeling one gets playing Russian Roulette.

Long carries over water get my extra attention. Anything over 170yds, with the green up close, I sometimes elect to go around the pond.

Its not because I can't carry the pond. It's because of how far past the green the ball might roll.

This is what my long time swing guru called a "controlled lost stroke".

Tight, highly penalizing trouble off the tee right

Forced carry over 180y across a big yellow stake hazard

Greenside pitch shot over a bunker off a very tight lie

For me, it is any iron shot from a downhill lie to an elevated green, especially if there is water anywhere in between, front, right, or left.

I’m the same as you @That post any iron shot with trouble left makes me real nervous because I can hood that iron and draw or pull that sucker left real easy.
