What part of your golf swing/game do you want to improve?

If I drive the ball like I have been, I'll be shooting low-mid 80's consistently like I used to before I met my wife. My struggle has always been off the tee.

Consistent takeaway with irons and wedges. I am struggling with a bit of a searching feel and it is leading to some horrendous ball striking at the moment.

Did you read the whole thing? Are you going to go for a swing evaluation for putting though?
Golftec does offer putter evaluations. I think one could benefit for it if they have never done one.

Iron dispersion. During my swing eval, I answered it this way:
"While everyone wants to hit it further, I'd like to not have a 50 yard lateral dispersion with my 9i."

I’m with the better ball contact and consistency crowd

For swing mechanics, it is swing path. Working on it now and trying to mitigate the OTT move that has plagued me for years. Coming more from the inside and I'm making progress.

Overall game wise, it's short game, especially the mid range pitches and punches and short chips. I don't necessarily make a mess of them but I need to put them closer, more often to take pressure off the putter.

Over the top move. Need to fix it and with lessons I have been able to previously but seem to always go back to it.

For me, it's the 160-200 yard range. This is my strokes gained killer. and it's worse from fairway lies. Second focus would be 8 - 15 foot putts. I do suck at short wedge shots but don't seem to get as much SG hit from those.

Greens in regulation—get the average per round consistently back above 50% this season. Lately I’ve been closer to 35%.

Part of this is also putting the ball in the right position off the tee. I’m starting to play significantly less aggressively off the tee this year than in years past.

My driver is killing me... pretty sure it's because I swing it like it's an iron, so I end up with a brutal duck hook. It's been so bad that at times I find myself teeing off with a 5 hybrid or something to just keep me in play.

Driver for sure. It makes such a big difference for me when I keep it on the hole I’m actually playing off the tee. Just a consistent miss would be nice.

Having been through the same call with GolfTec my answer was iron play and consistency in strike. It is a tough question if I were going back that focus would change to driver currently. Even with my putting being crap currently

Irons. I'd say it's the part of my game holding me back at the moment

Did you read the whole thing? Are you going to go for a swing evaluation for putting though?

I thought I did, sorry if I missed this was only related to the swing itself.

If an instructor asked me about the swing I honestly probably would say I'd like to learn how to hit a fade when NECESSARY. But I also understand this can lead you down a very dangerous path.

I'm really more focused on short game right now then swing. My swing is ugly and homemade but it really does the job I need it to. I think my best improvements will come from putting and short game

Part of the swing I want to improve: fix my sequencing and get my hands in a better position through the downswing.

Part of my game I want to improve? Short game 100 yds and in.

Short game, then putting. The two things I can't really practice on my #garagesim. The putting is a little skewed by a round where I lipped out 6 putts inside 6 feet. Most rounds the short game is my lowest SG.

Sh!tastic putting is what kills my scores but that's 100% mental. My biggest potentially fixable swing need is more clubhead speed. I'd ask them to focus on that.

All of it.

But to be specific, consistent contact. It has to start there.

During a pre swing evaluation phone conversation with GolfTec yesterday I was asked that very question and it was a bit hard for me to answer. Sure I have swing flaws like everyone else but I can get around the course pretty good, till I hit the green anyway haha. According to the Shot Scope data I keep my problems lie more with putting than actual swing. Probably not going for a swing evaluation for putting help haha. So when asked that question it made me think. I honestly didn't know the answer to I just said said driver.

If an instructor asked you this question without seeing your swing what would you answer be?
Honestly just hitting off different lies. Downslope and side slope are still a problem for me with so much sim perfect lie.

Cleaner contact with my irons would be amazing.

My usually very good wedge game has gotten funky. Instead of nice cut spin shots I'm getting the face closed ( at least not open) and hitting pulls.

Weight shift and downswing.

Irons. I'd say it's the part of my game holding me back at the moment
I would agree with this as well. More specifically for me though is contact with the irons. I find myself hitting it fat or thin way too often.

Just been back and checked my Shotscope data again, and it's tee shots and mainly driver off the tee.

I'm blocking out to the right on my misses. Working on it at the moment with my coach and I'm seeing the seeds of improvement - but if we had a Golftec here in the UK then it would be amazing to get to put a bit more science and data into the learning.

I am finding it much easier to fix the same issue with my irons, and my approach play is showing a definite trend upwards in strokes gain.

Golf though - huh - fix one aspect, something else goes pear shaped.
