Saw this on another social media outlet & thought it would be interesting. Ultimately it may show some of our age...?

What year did you start playing the game of golf?
 
2015
 
1985 for me...

Remember it like yesterday...

1990.
 
1977 at age 12. That first year was 95% hitting to three bicycle flags and hay bale archery targets that were scattered on our 2 acre lot.

I really only started playing in 2019 and played about 40+ rounds. I did take 3 lessons about 5 years ago and only played about 4-6 times all those years.
 
Late 2013 I think.
 
Feb.14, 2018 was first time ever swinging a golf club.
 
2009.
 
1980 was the first time I played on an 18 hole golf course.

It was fun but very confusing. Since I couldn't understand why I couldn't hit an object, golf ball, sitting patiently on the ground with a golf club.

Ten or more Swings per actual contact.

I went to the driving range soon after for the first time as well. And found that it wasn't any easier on the range off a mat!

From ‘06-‘13 I only played 8-10 rounds a year and was more into equipment than actually playing. Quit for about 5yrs and picked it back up in late ‘18. I played more last year than those first 7yrs combined
 
1979 when I was in the 8th grade.
 
95/96 for me.
 
I started in 1998, but didn't take it seriously until 2009.
