What's the number? If you won the lottery tomorrow, what's the number you would just quit/retire and play golf all the time?

I can't be the only one that's thought about this.

5 million. But if I won 1 million, I would be looking to see if it was feasible on a budget.

$25 million. I got too many people who would be trying to dig in my pockets

I'm already retired, but I'd take a nice lottery win anyway! :drinks:

My wife and I agreed on $10 million but I’m saying maybe half that lol

Did I tell you how good you are looking these days?

I got 4 kids college to pay for and I’ll have to move to a climate that lets this happen. I’m gonna say $15 million. It’s not because I’m greedy but at 43 I want to live comfortably and that should be enough to get me to a point where I can move buy a house pay for the kids school and set me
and the wife nicely.

iam on extended leave for a year and then int retiring … would take 1+ Mil . And that would make be extra happy .

As it is , life is fabulous:)

Whatever number that allows me to do it. I would do it in a heartbeat. Working sucks lol

I haven’t yet but will give it some thought.

I know at $20 Mil I felt good about having enough to buy and renovate the local goat track.

I would say 15 million. I'd split up that 5 million with family/friends. And keep 10 for myself. Just be smart with the money and not buy a house at The Hideaway 🙄

Enough to pay the bills for a few years until the pension kicks in. I'm pretty close to retirement as-is.

I’ll be 58 in two days. Retired at 45 and now play over 200 rounds a year.

Before retirement I was in the investment business.

If you have a comfortable lifestyle now just take your current pre tax income and multiply it by 25 and you will have a pretty good estimate of what you need to have invested to duplicate your current lifestyle without ever having to work again and be very confident that you’ll also never run out of money.

I guess I need about a million.

$2M and I’m done working.

$5 mil post tax. That’ll do just fine

$5 million I could for sure make it work and be comfortable. Working for a startup now that I’m hoping will be a lottery ticket.

$10 million - $5 million is enough to be comfortable for life...but I'd want another $5 million for contingency purposes.

I have always said, a year's salary and I would leave my job lol.

Retire for good? 2 million bucks. Enough to pay off the mortgage, and keep me on the golf course.
