What's with club model names? I feel like most club manufacturers picked out a letter or two from the alphabet and decided to roll with it:

Cobra: F6 - F9
Ping: G400, G410, G700, I210, I500
Taylormade: M1 - M6
Wilson: C300, D300, D7
Srixon: Z585, Z785
Titleist: T100, T200, T300

I get it from an internal standpoint, but I feel like more creativity should be shown when naming products for the consumer. Am I crazy here? Then again, maybe they're playing it safe and staying away from another 'Rocketballz'

I love names rather than alpha numeric. I applaud the companies that do it. With that said I also understand that it is a trademark minefield out there with words.

Remember golf equipment models typically have a current line lifespan of 18 to 24 months,. Using numbers for model names easily allows for the next generation model to easily be recognized as the "updated version" of a previous model. For example, , G400 was replaced by G410.
