Hey @War Eagle Christmas Tree Cake Old Fashioned!!! So damn good but didn’t have any white frosting.

I need details here.
Basic simple syrup..
1 cup of granulated sugar
1.5 cup of water (can increase to cut down sweetness)
1.5 teaspoons of Cake Batter extract
white cake frosting
I did not use any bitters when making the Old Fashioned and added in Red and Green sprinkles. Little on the sweet side so would probably increase to 2 cups of water.

That sounds interesting, but also likely delicious.

Went in to get a backup bottle of AE Green, or perhaps try the Triple Oak. Walked out with this instead.

I need to know immediately. Saw this the other day and still can't figure out why I didn't buy it.

Also, I am not sure they are the same State to State. Interesting.

I shall report back this evening.

Alright. First impressions are it’s like a super charged AE. It’s a much higher proof (110) so there’s some nice burn, but the port flavor comes out even more than regular so it’s still exceptionally smooth as well. I still think I would put Green as my favorite, but that’s because it’s so unique as a rye. This is an exceptional AE bourbon and I think is very worth it.

Oooo this like to be on the list for the bar, no more ice molds

This one just showed up at my office and I’m pretty excited to try it out.

Cake batter extract?!

Crown Royal Northern Harvest is my go to pre-dinner. Very smooth at least to my standards.

Don't think I ever posted this. Went to orkney distillery and highland Park when I was in Scotland. Found this from orkney who just started whiskey usually does gin. It's very subtle and this is their first whiskey. They use highland Park and their own whiskey. They will transition to their own whiskey only soon.

Is Blanton's still sought after? I don't drink, but was doing some holiday shopping and they had a couple bottles for $99.

It is but the hype has died down a bit.

That's about $20+ overpriced but depends on the market/area
