That time of year again where the better half does some kind of booze advent calendar. Year 1 was whisky, year 2 tequila. This year back to whisky, but a little different. Instead of hanging them on the tree like previous years, this year I have this freaking cool bookcase. The right book has the glasses and the booklet telling me about the whiskies. The other books contain the whiskies.
Day 1 is a whisky from Peru. Black Whisky.

Day 2 of my advent whisky. This is much more a traditional whisky than yesterday’s. Pretty smooth, this would make a good go to whisky. Not enough going on to make it an occasion whisky.

Day 3 and it’s my first ever whisky from Germany. Who knew. There is a reason why there aren’t any famous German whiskies however.

Day 4 is a first for me. Danish Whisky. Quite a harsh one with a bit of burn. Won’t be one I hunt out.

Day 5. Irish whiskey. I read the testing notes, and pick up none of it LOL.

I love gift box season.
Got cool rose shaped ice molds and a badass pourer. All for the cost of the bottle. Always check the giftbox isle when shopping.

Had a few days off from Christmas whisky tasting, but returned tonight with this Canadian whisky. Dang, it was Smokey. I can still taste the peat 10 minutes after I finished it!

so I guess the bottle of bourbon is officially open now? 🤷 oops...happy accidents!
