I'm very curious on the difference in flavor between the Weller and the Kosher Wheat Buffalo Trace.Battle of some Wheaters on Wednesday nigh5 watching the World Series. View attachment 9387088
I have a tough time explaining different flavors in Bourbon. The BT was definitely a little thinner than the Weller to me but the opposite for my wife. I got a lot of vanilla in it. It was my first time trying it. The Weller I get more Carmel and some Cinnamon. It definitely has a longer finish.I'm very curious on the difference in flavor between the Weller and the Kosher Wheat Buffalo Trace.
I tried one of those from that brand a few years back. Can't remember which one but I didn't hate it. Cool bottling for sureHas anyone tried these? I have a local store that has Store Picks of all four, I've only tried, and liked, the Bourbon Spire. I'm curious about the others.

I was specifically curious because Buffalo Trace uses a their wheated bourbon for Weller and Pappy. I was curious if they have a new second wheated mashbill, which would be a bold step.I have a tough time explaining different flavors in Bourbon. my favorite was the Weller but the Bardstown is very close and I will always recommend that to anyone who likes more Wheated Bourbons.
I didn’t dislike the BT but I prefer the other 2 over it.
hope that helps
I will be buying a bottle next time I see itMy current favorite. The Lux Row 12

Typically distillery only, but I can tell you I will not go back without picking one up every single time.I will be buying a bottle next time I see it
I wasn’t sure which one to pour first, the pineapple or the screwball, so I tried it both ways. It’s not giving me butterfinger vibes (it’s not far off though), but I’ve had FAR worse shots before.
I’ve made this quite a few times. That Purple Top was an 11 Year and someone actually bought it while I was in the store today. Not terrible actually. Do you know the age on it?
