Interesting. That seem like an easy correction, would they not do it?
They would. But they also think they’re getting the 19 in this weeks drop. So I waited.

so sounds like a heaven Hill drop, which we’re getting in this area right now too. And have been for about a week or two.

Saw 19 at a couple of places, both of which were overpriced, but present. Saw Parker’s 19 two or three places with an outrageous price tag, but I expect some of these to come down after the holiday.

This video came up on my YouTube page, not sure if you've seen it or not. Place has a lot of great stuff.

Well. Glad I didn’t end up picking anything up yesterday. Ended up winning a few auctions that I was sure were going to go for higher than what I bid. Nothing super fancy but it’ll be it for me for a little while.

Unicorn?

Yep. All things that I should be able to get around here except keep striking out on or are wildly above MSRP locally.

Just remember the added auction fee and $25 per bottle shipping.
If you do, you can get some great deals.

I won Proof an Wood Vertigo last night for $40
And an Early Times 150th Anniversary for $45

Both well under what they cost and obviously being older you cant find them anymore.

The two I’m most excited for are the Bardstown Silver Oak that has been bought from in front of my face now twice for $80 and a Willett 4 Year Purple top for $60. Even after the fees everything came out well under what I’d pay around here.

Interesting. That 4 year small batch is not much more around here. I think its around $90, but man is it popping up everywhere. Good on you, its pretty darn good.
That Silver Oak for that price is a great buy in my opinion. Even with fees, you are under $120 and its a really really unique bottle that I enjoy a lot.

I will warn you of two things.
1. They take a long time to ship, but you will get everything.
2. Have a box cutter for when it comes, because its the best packaged ANYTHING, I have ever received.

Are the small batch bottles numbered like the single barrel ones are? As an example I believe mine is 121/121 on the 11 year.
No, doesn’t seem to be. It has the custom proof but no bottle number. I have a Four Roses bottle that was given to me by someone who bought a full barrel. It has the barrel number and everything on it.

Feels like bourbon kind of night. Decisions decisions

OnlyDrams suggested Blanton's. Who am I to argue?
I forgot about that feature. I haven't even scanned all my bottles, I've been slacking haha

To be fair, it suggested two other bottles that have been killed first so I'm going thru and marking bottles as consumed.

After 3.5 hours at the cheer competition I’m thinking the same thing.

Couple of questions for the group.
What is everyone's favorite low cost bottle. Lets say you were on a social security only budget what are you buying?
Also I wonder if the selection is better for the not State run type liquor stores? In my state of Idaho the prices are all MSRP and set by the state if they are on sale. Its nice that a bottle of say Eagle Rare 10 yr that I bought today was like $40. But we never get the Willets, Pappy's or other unicorns.

For me best bottle under $50 is Russels 10yr. Can often find it for $40 actually. Can't go wrong with Elijah Craig Small Batch or Four Roses either

I mean, if I could regularly get Eagle Rare for $40 I'd always have a bottle of that. Cheaper than that hard to go wrong with Woodford Reserve. Also really enjoying Green River Wheated which is around $30

Especially cause MsRP is higher than $40. It’s typically under $50 here now though

For me personally, the Overbrook is no colors added and super smooth. A 1.75 is right at $30. Smooth on the rocks as well
