@baylrballa Can we get an ice cube storage update?

Nothing to report yet. Made some fresh ones over the weekend that were even better. Have been sitting in a ziplock in the freezer since the trays aren’t in. I’ll throw them in the fridge and maybe try one later tonight.

Bad news, touring with my VP in WA and the hotel only has makers and Woodford. Good news, the bartender has quite a pour.

Okay. The Penelope Apple Cinnamon.

Its good. Smooth. Definitely sweet. The cinnamon is more forward then comes the apple which I think is the correct order for something like this. I think putting it on ice thinned it a bit so I'm considering putting the bottle in the fridge so I don't have to use ice and it would improve it. One of the better pre-made cocktails I've had.

probably left them in the fridge a little longer than needed as there was a little melting in the bag but...that'll do.

The ice press is going to happen at some point.

Love what that looks like.
My issue being it is not very convenient to make two, and have to put them in the fridge prior to deciding if drinks are going to be bad, right?
probably depends on how long they need to be in the fridge for how inconvenient it would be.

Either way, it's light years easier and better than the rubber molds I was doing before.

that is for sure. And they look great.
The first time I saw the original, before the mini, I was intrigued. But people reported some issues, so I stayed away.

When I shared the info about the mini a bit ago, I was super intrigued, and still am.

But just struggle getting on board with the idea that I have to refrigerate them before using them

I'll have to experiment with it but maybe just having it at room temp for a few minutes is enough too. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Hadn't seen this blog Post before.

I just saw this posted by a bottle shop near me. Thoughts?

I think outside of the most cherished collectors items, it is very expensive.
Not "The Last Drop" prices but very much up there.

And who is buying a quarter of an oz?
I sorta scratch my head at it too. This is a North Scottsdale bottleshop on the line between those that have money and those that think they do.

I think if they ever made a single cube maker I’d probably have to cave and get one.

I actually like the idea of 2, but my issue is, the ice takes a VERY long time to be made. So its almost impossible to not just run constantly and stockpile.

I feel like I missed the intro to this. Can you point me in the skimmers direction to know more about this?

I was reading past it, I have the molds that I can do up to 18 2 inch cubes but my kids like them to feel fancy for their milk and water some days. They are not the clear ones like yours mine are just standard silicone.

makes 2 cubes at a time. takes about 7-8 hours. They are impressively clear.

I acquired a taste for bourbon during COVID, which is just good medicine. I've since moved on to scotch, with a neat double of Macallan 12 being my go-to.

I will say, I've been dying to share this with anyone who cares...my wife and I went to Aruba a couple months ago and stayed at a St Regis, and they do a Bloody Mary class and tasting every day. (St Regis claims to be the founder of the bloody mary, which I'm not buying...moving on.) In this class they shared that every St Regis hotel has a signature Bloody Mary, and in the hotel in Hong Kong, their signature one is made with a smoky Scotch rather than vodka. I asked them if they could make me one and they did, and I loved it. So much so that I bought a bottle of Ardbeg 10 Year and made "Hong Kong Bloody Mary's" Christmas morning this year, and they were fantastic.

Don't knock it til you've tried it...

Not typically a RTD person, but it’s not bad.

I actually won this the week after the Grandaddy and kind of forgot about it. 2010 big anniversary year and a 200 ml bottle.

Picked it up for next to nothing just liked the anniversary nostalgia.

Got this one in to review…expecting it to be very unique.

Trying this tonight;

I just picked this up. Really no reason other than I hadn’t bought a bottle in a while and I like Bookers. I’ve heard this batch was really good too.
