Silver Oak and Madeira are so unique.

And I told you, the packing is unreal. which honestly it should be for what they charge ha ha
That was one of my thoughts. In some way shipping might be a deal because of the amount of bubble wrap and bottle mailers used. I also appreciated that the Booker's bottle and box were wrapped separately.

For sure.
I got that mini anniversary I posted about above and the cardboard box was wrapped separately

I also got this today to try. I think it might be of interest to @Canadan

Alright, I cracked the Crown Marquis. Very smooth with not much bite, as it typical of Crown. Very maple forward and then heavy on the rum on the back end. And it smells more like rum than whiskey to be honest.

Time for a pour. Went with Castle and Key Single Barrel

Trying Evan Williams White Label 100 proof BIB tonight. First thoughts is it’s smooth.

Cracked the Weller Special Reserve tonight. It's been a while since I've had it, but I'm reminded that it's a fantastic $30 bottle but no one should be spending anywhere near what secondary prices are for this.

That’s why I don’t own one. Can never find it at MSRP and just not worth more than that

That used to be relatively easy to find. And I agree.
Now that buffalo trace is starting to be easier to find again, I'll happily take that trade.

Totally fair. I usually buy the 1.75 liter of it and take it to tailgates and use it for mixed drinks at home.

But it’s everywhere for MSRP here. Cases upon cases of it

Thats one EW I haven't tried. Really liked 1783 and the single barrel.
TBH I’m not disappointed. It’s a nice sipper

I actually prefer this to standard Trace. But neither are worth more than $35. I might go a few bucks higher for the Weller, but not much.

It’s $65 here and I refuse to pay it

Absolutely not. That's what it is around here. I got this from unicorn so if we factor in shipping and fees this was technically $50, which is too much, but I also had a discount code on the whole order so I can justify to myself that I got it for MSRP. Its like the opposite of girl math

It's like 32 for the Weller Sr and 27 for the buffalo trace around here.
I can get BT for $30 but Weller not so much. I just need to grab a bottle next time I drive thru ohio

Things are pretty dry in Ohio right now. The OHLQ inventory delisted Weller Antique to a "Special Order" product on January 1. Not sure what this means to the Special Reserve inventory going forward and if it's only temporary. But nothing really of note has been dropping in Ohio since before Christmas. Not sure when things will pick back up.
