picked up another bottle of Makers 101 tonight. At 20 dollars it’s a no brainer.

It also seems it’s getting easier to find the allocated stuff around here easier. Still not in the budget for me to buy 100 dollar bottles but saw quite a few different bookers at 125 and found Midwinters Nights Dram for 99. Also found an Elmer T Lee single barrel at retail a few weeks back. Would have pulled the trigger on that one but it was 9 am on a Sunday morning and can’t buy alcohol until after 12 on Sunday and was busy the rest of the day.

hahaha, cheers buddy

This evening sucked. Poured a double of Green River Wheated. I honestly think I might like this more than the Weller Special Reserve.
The GR Wheated is SO underrated!!! My bottle is almost out and it’s about time to pick up another. Actually have a GR Wheated SiB I need to open.

Cheers THP before the snow storm.

Weller 12 for me this evening as we await the oncoming snow.

Heard great things about this Bottle so excited to give it a try. Not sure I am going to make it to 7 tonight🤦🏻‍♂️

Went heavy on the “Copper” today.
I remember @JB picking up the Cooper and Kings Bourbon finished in Apple Brandy Barrels.

The other is a Store Pick.

Picked up another bottle of the Copper & Kings today. Liquor Store had a 15% off coupon and I just happen to have a $50 Gift Card.
Easy Peasy…

Koske and I are going to dive into Stagg tonight before dinner with PGA Tour

Thinking I'm going to crack the Wight's today and see what it's got.

Picked this one up today here in Ohio.

A special Ohio blend of their Ripple Rye at 9 years old.

I am doing dry January right now and my B-I-L said why didn't you do February as its only 28 days.
I like his thinking but why have a dry month at all. Unless of course you drink it out of a brown paper bag.

Weight loss and just to prove I can quit if needed.
I didn’t have a wild younger time in life.
Didn’t really drink until about 35.
Making up for lost time means I go heard at times.

This particular bottle was labeled, filled, and sealed by my wife as part of a tour of the distillery, hence the batch number being “Hawai’i 24” for the date of our yearly trip to the islands. Pretty fun option we thought, personally bottle your own. It’s really smooth since it uses artesian water filtered through volcanic rock. Cheers!!

I'm not really doing Dry January but I'm really tracking everything I put in my body and exercise more. Part of this for my health is really cutting back on how much I drink.
Last fall I'd have a couple of whiskey pours 4-5 nights a week. I'm now doing once a week and have stopped drinking beer completely to eliminate the empty carbs.

The bonus is that whiskey is actually better from that aspect in regards. But it was also to prove to myself I could cut back because I think I my drinking was getting a bit heavy and I wasn't taking care of myself with what I was eating.

I'm loving the progress and I want to be much healthier by the time summer rolls around.

I’m pleasantly surprised. It’s a bit light and sweeter than I expected but very full of flavor. Letting it sit for a bit to see what happens. I suspect it will fill out a bit.

Cracking my bottle tomorrow so I can get a review up before batch two drops.

After letting it breathe there was a bit more apple and maple on the taste. Didn't get harsher at all. There's obviously some wheat in the mash bill but it's not what I would considered a wheated profile. Very easy and enjoyable to drink. Curious to see what a cask strength from them would be.

Envy green kind of night.

Incredible. One of my forever favorite pours.
