Previously held cinnamon flavored spirits
I take that back, while most referred to it because of that, whiskey thief uses a barrel that just rested cinnamon

Most doc swinson js MGP so i’m guessing this is barton.
I knew they were an NDP but wasn't sure where it came from.

This is decent but honestly their sherry cask stuff has been my favorite.

Those are the 375ml right?
Yes
each of their holiday limited auditions are done in smaller bottles so more people can get them.

I wish more places did distillery exclusive this way

I am so into the chaos tagging. Make me envious and confused - I'm in!

Might have to have a pour of something to ease off the Monday madness (and snowfall).

Unclear on what just yet.

2nd pour.

Easy sipper. Lots of caramel. Almost buttery.

Where in NJ are you if you're still here, maybe I can give some suggestions on spots to hunt.
Not til May. Figured I might have a little free time to see if there’s stuff not available to me in IL.

Gotcha. Well there's a great store called Adelphia in East Brunswick I believe, a FB bourbon group on on always go there but it's bit of a hike for me. Then a few other options if you want to share (pm works too) and I can see what's in the area

Another reason my wife makes me feel like the luckiest man on the face of the earth. View attachment 9034484
She bought this for me to celebrate a new job. This one is supposed to be very special. It arrived today.
Happy Tuesday.

And on March 17th 2026 this bottle came to a glorious end. I had moved the contents to a really nice decanter - and only drank from it on special occasions. Well, booked the trip in June to Croatia (and now day trips to Montenegro and Bosnia), so blew a ton of cash, thought it fitting to kill this one off.

It’s always a good day to do that. I really like it!
Oh man..... that Green River Wheated Full Proof is TASTY!

So I had a meeting with a financial guy this morning at his office.
Saw a liquor store across the street and figured I would pop in.
EH Taylor Single Barrel and Barrel Proof each for $99 and Small Batch for $49.

I already have multiple small batch bottles, but definitely bought the last one each of the others.

Tough to say no at those prices

Yeah, Single Barrel I can see. Sometimes its around $100 here, but normally $119 when I have seen it. Small Batch you can find for anywhere from 49-69 at most places.
But I rarely see Barrel Proof anywhere, and when I do, the norm is around $200

This felt like a steal at the local Costco.

The latest daily @Canadan bottle is from Hillrock. Known for their solara aging, this one was very limited, but finished in a port cask. It adds quite a bit of sweet fruit to it, and it is really really good.
