Zach Johnson 2 majors and 10 other PGA tour wins... how? Not a power player but did figure out a way to be competitive and win on a couple of big courses... I think he's done well with the skills he has.
Adam Scott. Won the Masters and numerous other events around the world ... how? Cannot putt to save himself, but did figure out a way to be competitive anyway.
Seriously though, I find it interesting that we (royal ‘we’ there) seem to discount people who putt well as simply “making the best of their ability”, in contrast to those who bomb the ball but cannot putt and are therefore “under-achieving”. Why is the short game viewed as being inferior to the long game in terms of people making the most of their ability?
